A 'Very' Unusual Error

So I have this error here.  It is very unusual but amusing.  Just wondering if anyone else has seen it.  It popped up when trying to join UncleanXuch's game... He must have some kind of custom blocking system in place.

Hahaha, that's some impressive Net Code they have there.

Maybe he put in a filter that kicked you because you have a low win ratio? or low game count? Funny anyway.

Nice feature wpuld love to know more about it, but you really should put "UncleanXuch's Custom Filter" at the bottom.  I expect there to be many people who will see this and blame gpg or SD.

Lol, yes, please add: Copyright 2009 UncleanXuch or something. Stardock and GPG take enough heat for Demigod as it is.

It's OK, no U.S. company would ever use "wankers" - I don't think they even know what the word means here!

Really? I thought Wanker was a Universal term?

"Wank off" is a universal term. I'm afraid not all Americans can put the 2 and 2 together to make "wanker" though.

See, this is what happens when you try to join a game called "3v3 ultar pro, no wankers"

Not really; we usually say "jack off".  Thanks for trying though.

Jack off? Calling someone that doesn't really make grammatical sense. You'd need to call them a Jack Offer, to imply that they 'jack off'. Strange country.

It's called the internets people... look it up! Since everything on wikipedia is true, I will do my good deed for the day and give you all the link.

I think he meant that we [the US] usually say "jack off" as opposed to "wank off," although I've also heard "jack off" used as a noun because "jack offer" is a bit stilted.

'Cheers'. ;P

You thought I was connecting "jack off" to "wanker" as opposed to "wank off"?  It didn't clue you in that you declared "wank off" was a "universal term" and I was contesting this?  For someone who can write manifestos over virtually anything you certainly can't seem to read one short sentence...

Strange country.

I know several people here (in America) who use the term "wank off". Of course, these same people also use "jack off" "jerk off" or just about any combination of "____k off" you could possibly think of.

Actually, I was under the impression, thanks to the text you quoted, that you were addressing my 'Wanker' comment, in which case you likened 'Jack Off' to 'Wanker' and hence my comment about the term's usage. If this was not the case, you should have stipulated who's comments you were addressing.

The point is, you're insulting the people of an entire country over their choice of how they insult each other.  And wrongfully so, since I can count on both hands the number of times I've heard someone say "wank off" without impersonating an englishman, and I've lived 27 years and in several parts of the country.  "Wank off" is not as universal as you think, and so sniping at americans for not using "wanker" as an insult doesn't even make sense.  When you choose to insult americans like myself, I kindly request that you do so in a way that at least makes sense.

Edit: I see you've edited your original post to remove the insult.  Good call. :)  "Much obliged and good day to you, kind sir."  (oops btw, we don't say that either) (oops, btw, to ensure the clarity you seem to require, I was talking about the "Much obliged and good day to you, kind sir" part)

I was explaining my post so that you could understand why I wrote it to clear up the obvious confusion. Clearly, you're attempting to take issue with my posts for no particular reason other than because I wrote them as the post directly after mine addressed the issue perfectly.
As this is the second of such threads where you've done this feel free to PM me if you have anything you'd like to say rather de-railing threads with your attempts to undermine my posts.

I insulted no one. I said 'Strange Country' as a playful bit of poking at the difference between our languages and commonly used terms, as clearly 'Wanker' is a heavily used term here and would seem as foreign to Americans as the term 'Jack Off' was to me. However, feel free to grab onto any small comment I've made and blindly run with it without first taking the time to understand it if it makes you feel bigger, smarter or generally better about the pitfalls of being 'You'.

What insult have I apparently edited out? By all means, contact the forum support staff and have them unedit my post, or provide the original body of the post, to correct me.
As is fairly obviousy from your posts, you seem to have some kind of issue with me, and like to insult my intelligence for some reason. I ask that in future, you private message myself as opposed to clogging up the forums with your pointless posts. I trust this shall be the end of it. Good day.

Yup, because this thread was going places anyway.  Exactly how much do you want to write about "Hey check out this weird error message" anyway?

How about you just don't insult anybody on the forums at all anymore?  Saying things like "Americans can't put 2 and 2 together" is the kind of toxicity that drives SD out of these forums.  Had this thread been half-way important, maybe I would've PM'ed you but it's not...

Forgive the quote tags messing up....

Haha, seriously though, you'll notice that Melon wrote that and it's still in his post. If you want to take shots at me, make sure you get your facts right. And if you want to take shots at Melon, I have to advise against it; it won't end well for you.
