Is the sign inflamatory? IMO yes.
Does it help or hurt? IMO it hurts, this is just what the witch-hunters on the left are looking for, although it seemed OK when the images of Bush where used pre-2009.
IMO you can disagree with policies, but there is little reason to make it ugly. The left used this effectively in the past, I didn't like it then and I don't particularly like it now. Especially when they can be beaten with facts.
What I do believe was wrong is that there were other signs at the rally and this guy appeared to be singled out. He has a right to free expression, even though I don't entirely agree with his method.
It also points out an interesting thing, the far left likes making sh** sandwiches, but apparently don't like eating them.
