So its almost Wednesday and that means PAX is starting on the 3rd! Hopefully we'll all be playing the beta by Friday. I'm also looking foward to the newest release of Impulse! 
Same here... I don't know how many people from Stardock will be going to Pax, but it would seem strange to release a beta when some of the team is away...

I believe someone from SD said might be somewhere between Sep. 3-5? I'm goint to pre-order today (Just under the wire I think..hope).
Yea didnt Frogboy say in one of his post the beta would start when the new verison of Impulse was out?
Historically, they don't typically release things on Fridays, especially things like Beta 1 of a new game.
If a good chunk of the team is at PAX, they likely won't be around to get it prepped for release before Friday, either. I hope for this week, but I *expect* next week.
Sorry guys, the beta for Elemental won't be out until some time after PAX. Just wanted to let you all know before you get your hopes up too much.
Ah Zoomba beat me to it. I was gonna say when I was on IRC, Yarlen or Zoomba said to not expect it to probably around the end of the month 
Ah well if next week (or the end of sept) after PAX then so be it, I still want to see the new verison of Impluse! 
Bummer. I should know better than get my hopes up! I'm sure there's plenty to do in preparation for the madness that will be the beta.

Can you or anyone from SD give us a guestimate on where the vutoff line will be on who gets in the beta? I know every one pre-ordering the game is in, but I did not have the chance to pre-order yet. If I do it in the course of this week, will that be on the safe side still?
If you preorder before beta is released you will be in for sure.
If you preorder within a week or two of beta, you will also almost for sure be in.
Anything after that, I don't think so.
Oh well, my laptop will be out of comission for a few weeks anyway.....
