Unable to create Direct 3D.

Each time I try to run Demigod, I get the following error message:

"Unable to create Direct3D.

Please ensure system has current video drivers."

I do have the current drivers, and DirectX 10 is installed.  I'm wondering what I need to do to get it to work?

Some of my system specs:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
3 GB ram

The processor is too slow maybe?

There isn't a separate video card, just an integrated one:

Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

Thanks for any helpful advice you might have.

The integrated video doesn't meet the minimum requirement to run Demigod:

128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better)

Thanks! I wasn't sure how to tell if the video card was enough or not.

I upgraded to a Radeon X300, 256MB.  It plays, but boy is it slow.  Even with everything turned down.

Your processor should be ok since it's a dual core, but the x300 is still below the minimum video card requirement, so you may run into issues with it.

a good inexpensive video card is the radeon 4670. It's about eighty dollars and would be more than enough to play the game.

If you've recently changed displays, try deleting your Game.prefs file from My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod. Most likely it is set to a resolution you can no longer use,
