SCFA - half the map objects vanish!

I have a major problem with skirmish games on SCFA. Most of the HUD, the ACU and everything else except the map surface itself doesn't load up. I can't even open the main menu and have to close the program externally. Everything works fine on campaign, so I know the files aren't corrupted. I've installed this game before and may be experiencing conflicting files.

Help!

SCFA -> Supreme Commander Forged Alliance.

HUD -> Heads-Up Display.

ACU -> Armored Command Unit.
