I don't necessarily agree with the people listed, but I certainly don't consider them insane or try to denigrate them. I can disagree with someone and still respect them and their opinions. I do not, however, have any respect at all for those who denigrate others and their opinions in an attempt to advance their own agenda. That is a common tactic of the extremist.

There is a vast difference between intelligent civil debate and asinine childish argument. In my experience, extremists are quite childish and do not understand the concepts of civility and mature intelligent debate.

In point of fact I prefer to think of myself as an 18th century serf since if you can't quit work tomorrow you are no better off than a wage slave.

However I make good money, not Brad money but good enough, and more importantly I live well within my means and so while I can't quit work tomorrow, I have everything prepared so that I can quit working in 4 years and be very comfortable for the rest of my life no matter how long I live. If I did have to quit work tomorrow then I still could get by reasonably comfortably, I'd just have to move to an area of the country that has a lower cost of living than Concord, MA.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course just popping in with a general statement offers little credibility. Empty platitudes are nice, but in the end, who really cares?

As whacked out a schizophrenic as Chris Matthews is (he was brutal about Obama's 'record' when Hillary was still in the running, before he got the 'tingling'), he can be incredibly effective at wielding the scalpel at times.  His destruction of Alan Grayson is priceless.

Tripping up Grayson isn't that difficult, he has no substance to begin with and every word out of his mouth is from the liberal ideology hand book. Mathews tore him up because Grayson's path isn't going to lead to their shared goal...in other words the Florida representative doesn't give Mathews a tingle, but he (Grayson) blindly supports the man that does, so stop thinking stupidly and do something that will work.

Gotta love the fair and balanced there...a Democrat commenting on what another Democrat says. FOX has them beat by far with opposing views.

Doesn't make it unfunny, though.  And Grayson being eaten by one of his own was fun to watch, you have to admit.

The problem with Grayson is that Pelosi has already said the Senate Bill is DOA.  For reconcilliation, the house would have to pass the Senate bill, and that does not look like it is going to happen.

Plus the manner Reconciliation is used in this case, would be unprecedented.

They can try to put lipstick on the reconciliation pig all they want - it will be seen for exactly what it is if they try.
