THE SECRET, REALY WELL HIDDEN, CAPSHIP MOD

 

Click it, stupid.

 

 

 

Instruction for installtion: Dear nigerians, this is your cottonfield farmer speaking. To isntall this mod correctly you need to go to > Sins menu, at the game launch.

 

Then go to options/Mods -  in there see the Folder path to your mod folder, example C:/stupid/people/cant/use/computers/sins of solar empire/ mods

 

 

After you know the path, you unzip the mod into the folder.

 

After that you restart sins, go back to the options/mods.  Then enable the mod (Cap ship only mod), you shuld get checksum  with green letters.

 

After that, click ENABLE CHANGES, go back to menu and initiate multiplayer. You have now sucksessefuly installed mod and can go play cap ship only mod.

 

To be able to play anything else, go disable the mod and apply the changes, again.

aside from the glaring, unnecessary profanity which may be intended to be funny, I have a question: what they hell does it do? I guess it's a slightly older mod that was released in another thread, where you documented your changes. so, care to include a link to that old thread? sure, I could search, but rather than every person reading this having to search, a direct link in the op is much smarter.

probably where all the other mods go. under appdata, etc. etc. (where you find your screenshots, save games, recordings). if there is not a folder that goes something like 'Sins 1.17 Mods' or 'Entrenchment 1.03 Mods', then your best bet is to go into the correct game version, under options - mods and have the game display the mod path. with this, is usually creates the (empty) sub folder. just place his files there, reload the game and enable the mod via the same menu as before.

at least that's what it should work like. I'm not dl.ing it before I know what's in it.

oh ok, I thought it couldn't hurt. so you probaly also checked whether it's a vanilla vs entrenchment mod. well, the other balancers may address capships too eventuall, so let's see what they come up with. probably not what I'd have in mind, but then I'd likely go more for flavour than for balance.

This isn't a new Mod. Its a recently updated version (by its original creator) used for a series of cap ship only games, of which Siddy is the coordinator. The reason Siddy is posting it here, is (I'm assuming) that a lot of people can't find it. So, in what I gather is typical Siddy fashion, he's making it quite obvious.
