Our Grandson Decon

My daughter and Son-in-law ,took Decon to the Doctor to get his imuneise done and he did a check and thats when they  found out that Decon has clicky hips and he sent them to see a surgen and he has booked him in for thearter today they seen the person that puts u to sleep and 2 others at pre addmin ready and he is booked in to go in today at at 7 am they going to see if they can reinsert it while he is under so he is not in any pain or discomfort and if they can get it to stay in they will put him in plaster pants for any were up to 12 months and braces.

Mark (his dad) will also be going in with him so he will be there right thru the hole lot

and if they dont think it will work or he cant get it to stay in they said he will be going strait thru to Hobart or Melbourne for more surgery.

Ahhh sweety....I suspected CDH (Congenital Hip Dysplasia) when you wrote to me about the clicky hip thing, but thought and hoped...well, maybe it means he's chasing little girls (in Ozzie-speak).

Now I learn this. Well, in plaster pants he's almost as much a threat as his grandpa....watch out for the shrapnel, and don't under any circumstances let Mark (me Bonzer mate, a.k.a. Cap'n starkers) to feed Decon anything looking even vaguely like you know what.

So much for my feeble attempt at humor and cheer for a worried Grandmother.

All will be well, and he'll be tooting with his Grandfather in no time at all.

Also, I spent my first year on this planet in plaster as well...Pes Equino-Varus. I was so pidgeon-toed I gave the birds a bad name.

My best thoughts are with you (as if I had to say), and prayers and above all, love. Hugs and kisses to the little tyke, as well.  <3 :inlove:

I feel so bad whenever I read anything about children being in pain/discomfort or getting hurt.  I know the anxiety over having a child that needs medical attention for some ailment.  I hope everything turns out well for the little tike.  Keep your chin up dear.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and prayers, while it seems everything  may be ok, my daughter and son in law still may have to take Decon to Hobart or Melbourne Hospital we wont know till about 6 weeks if not sooner I guess it depends if the cast from the waist down  and down both legs  dont work the doctors at the Launceston Hospital has told them of the ups and downs and to just be prepared  , I told my daughter about the kindness from you folk and all of the best wishes, she and her partner have asked me to pass on their thank yous

My thoughts are there for you and yours Shaunna.  Things should never happen to children when they can happen to us old tough geezers instead. :inlove: :sun:
