OH my dear freind WOW, i hope it burns in hell, never really played the original and even so it has a especial place on my heart, yes ... my dear WOW ..... i will hate it forever, and the forums? yes i know.

WOW can be Blizzards black sheep but even so we cannot deny the new features and standards it created for MMO's , Blizzard even when doing it wrong does it right.

Actually I loved most of WOW for quite a while. Sure it had it's bugs etc but for an MMO it had quite a lot to offer. But the game got very boring once you had done most of it and ended in the grindfest. Then Blizzard saw no more new subscribers and decided to make the whole game just for casual players, thus raping pretty much everything it had going for it.

I'll agree with we shouldn't compare the two games, but I remain firm in the belief that GPG doesn't seem to care. Say what you will about the people in the wow forums, but there was a great deal of communication going on there. Perhaps some folks would have loved to have more input for their class of choice but you can't deny that there was open dialogue between devs and community in any given sub category of the forums.

I have a whole lot of love for Stardock and the way they rolled up their sleeves cracked open the Red Bull and busted their asses to get the game to its current state when it wasn't even their place to do so but lets be real... what does it mean for a game's future when the publisher of the game shows more adherence for a game that the creators don't show much support for?

Down with SupCom2!

Yeah this is my first and last GPG game. Someone told me about the guy in charge of GPG and their bad history of supporting games (sup com 1).

Its too bad really since Stardock will get alot of flack for it when it comes to content.

I played WoW for a very long time (started Spring of '05). I didn't really PvP much (but then, the original game wasn't designed with PvP as a core aspect of the game), and I was only an on-again, off-again casual raider, but I still had fun in WoW for many many years. During the last couple years of my play, I frequented the Suggestions forum. Even in light of the near constant griping in that forum, I maintain a respect for Blizzard and the game they created.

All the starcraft and blizzard loving lol. Ever been to the WoW forums? yeah...and that if for monthly subscription.

Anyway, for all its sucesses starcraft also has a couple of flaws. There are features directly designed to make your micro/macro slower. There is even a disscusion in SCII to limit ui options:O.
I don't think those 'flaws' were put in to reduce micro capacity, they were just limitations of the system the game had. I seriously doubt the anti-UI improvement guys are going to get their way when it comes to keeping the UI design back in the late 90s.
