Rook Griefers: Extracting from own Citadel and destroying our own towers

Played a game with a player that goes by the name of Exotigo today.

http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/player/24343

Now I personally don`t give a flying shit about winning or losing but what really irks me is when players grief and purposely try to screw over their own team.

To cut a long story short we were dominating the entire game until he started extracting our own towers (destroying them), extracting from our citadel, and then proceeded to start running to the entire team feeding them.

Now with him running to the other team, there isn`t really much you can do about it - but what about extracting from our own citadel and towers?  I understand in an emergency he SHOULD be able to do that but there should be something the other players can do to stop him from doing that for the purpose of screwing with us.

In game kick vote? Banlists?

Any ideas or comments?

On a sidenote kick Exotigo from any custom games you may play.

You need to take a screenshot of this happening, calling someone out without proof isn't cool.

But yes griefing is very annoying, personal ignore lists would help I think.

I've used friendly towers as health potions before, but not without having purchased the Structural Integrity. I do see how it could be used for griefing though...

Yeah I should have taken a screenshot, that`s true.

Sorry about that - truth be told I am away from my Desktop and playing on my MBP and didn't know the shortcut for print-screen while in vista using the MBP.  Hoping for a Replays function in the next patch.

If behramorcun reads this forum I bet he could vouch for me (he was the erebus playing with us)

I wonder if anyone else had this happening to them?  Only think I could do was get a couple of the HP upgrades.

Daikaze,

Yeah I totally agree that it should be allowed when players are in a pinch and need the health asap.

Probably is just with these weird players who love giving their allies a terrible time.

I've seen rooks do this before, they only do it when the game is clearly over, they have already pressed concede, and the ally failed to comply.

Why doesn't the Rook just quit then?

It's going to be a defeat anyway...

Haha, i know its not cool but something about it is humorous.

Bloodsoda:

Umm nothing.

Told him to keep close to me and not get killed since UB was pretty aggressive.  Then while the top left towers were gone (playing cataract) suddenly I hear "YOuR CITADEL IS UNDER ATTACK" and he's extracting.  I told him to stop and he didnt respond.  Later on he started taking on our outer towers and started collapsing them while the enemy was taking advantage and killing him and the rest of the towers.

-pod-:

Grass always greener on the other side I suppose.

Another thing you might find funny: Right after this game I played a panetheon game and it started with him dying once or twice and he typed "Sorry, totally my fault, I'm new to this game and I'm eating a sandwich right now"

I replied with "I dont know wether to concede and quit or just laugh"

I didnt laugh.

There have been a couple of occations where I've had to explain to new rook players not to eat our own towers and stick to eating their summoned towers or the enemies towers. Looking at his pantheon record he does indeed seem to be a new player that has only recently started playing rook. So it is conceivable he didn't know better.

Yeah sounds like a case of the n00bs. Probably didn't even know how to respond at 1st... mmm sammich

Exotigo;

Don't even know how to respond to you now that you've come out man.

Hope the crap you pulled will be fixed sometime later on.

Haha, cheers.

lol. How could you not forgive that? :)

Do the citadel upgrades affect the citadel?  If so, get more health!

One solution: Make it so that Rook can only use Structural Transfer on enemy building OR the tower of lights that are raised by himself (and possibly ally Rooks). That way no greifing takes place and you can still use a tower as an emergency health potion.

The most greifing any person can do would be to kill an ally Rook's tower of light, but they can easily raise more in the time it takes him to kill one.

Monogamous;

No, just no.

If your in your own lines and need health badly, taking from your own towers is the perfect option, especially if you have the upgrades related to them so they heal. Making it so you can only effect enemies towers and your own, well, that's just so limiting in tactics. Extracting from a citadel of your own, however, is different. There is no point to it, when the healing crystal is a few steps away. I'm not sure why even a n00b would think Structural Transfer on a citadel would make sense...
