Positive Ads and Negative Ads

What are the major difference between a positive ads and a negative one? I know if I run an TV ad on "I support War on Terrorism". Not only my rating on that issue will improve, but it will become a more important issue for voter. If I run an TV ads on "My opponet opposes War on Terrorism", the not only his rating will suffuer, but the issue will become less important. But what about the other two? The "I am against ....." and "Opponent is for ..."

It depends on the issue. You want to be in the i am against column when it comes to outsourcing jobs and state that your opponent is for.
Also, negative ads do not necessarily make the issue less important. A good strategy I use is to use a negative and positive ad on the same topic. It makes your opponent look worse and you stronger at the same time. This can overcome a large deficit in a hurry.

Well, when I use a negative ads of "My opponent is against Jobs", the overall importance of Jobs do drop (you can see that on the Zoby Poll page.) I have yet to understand the other two ads as I mentioned. Like I am against this or My opponent is for this. Sure, I am refereing specifically Outsourcing as that is an important issue for Ohio and Penn.
