NT--Where is he?

NT--Where is he?

I can't find Night Train

So I was looking for his latest revamp of his GUIC entry "iSpire", and I couldn't find him or his stuff anywhere! Where'd he go?

But on a thread that doesn't have any personal attacks or bashing, I don't believe the mods should come in and tell everyone that they can't talk about it.  That seems to go against the whole free-speech thing.

People are free to discuss in general what they want.  The only thing I'm trying to avoid is the flaming and nonsense that came from the other post with basically the same topic.  That is what I said "enough" to, and I still stand by it.

These flames are not for the leave of NT but for others things....everyone look at own interest

WHAT FLAMES?!  Show one.

And I fully support that ID.  Seeing "Enough" on this thread led me to believe you meant about something in this thread, not the other...

This could be part of "the pattern" that some have seen arise, that in one of your previous posts you said was bullshit.

@Messiah1 My comment is not referred to you....and about your question...my work is not point the finger like a child...

Is that bashing to you k10w3?  Just a question.  Don't crucify me.  If somebody writes something that I think is bullshit...can't I throw the bullshit flag?  Phoon thought what I wrote was bullshit.  And he pointed it out very colorfully.  Or should I just go along with whatever you say and believe everything you say?  There are alot of sheeple in this world, in case you don't know me, I am not one of them.

What is this mysterious "pattern" that some have seen arise?  Please enlighten us.  If we don't know there is a problem, how are we to deal with it?

No, it's not bashing.  I never said anything about bashing.  The pattern that I was referring to, that I'm seeing, and that I believe NT saw arising, was the lack of free speech in the forums, which isn't real blatant, it's just a tone -- very subtle.  I think some things go on behind the scenes, with PMs and such, that has shaped a trend....I'm having trouble coming up with the right words for this right now, so forgive me, and remember this is just my impression of what's happening and the reasons that NT left.  I have no proof of it, just clues.

Things get said, posters get judged, some negatively some positively, and in the long run, the ones judged positively get rewarded, the ones judged negatively get ignored/punished -- maybe that's just life and I've been sheltered being as I work at home in a passive job, but IMO it's just too much like high school.

Enough. This has already been discussed in another thread, and really does not need to be continued here. The OP's question was answered already.

Well said. I can see why the moderators feel the way they do at the same time; we might end up shouting at each other. If we don't start shouting, we might get that proof that Jafo says he has.

I'm not sure what you are basing that on.  As far as I'm aware, nobody has been "punished" for speaking their mind provided it didn't violate any ToS.  If that happened to be the case, we take it to PM, whcih believe it or not, does not happen all that frequently.

We try and take a hand-on off approach, but we have been around long enough to know when a flame-fest is about to start, hence my comments.  Another thing people need to consider is the amount of PM/e-mails that go around about a particular issue.  Those are only shared amongst the people involved, and anything else mentioned in public is pure speculation.

As long as I have been here there's always been this veiled suggestion, or insinuation, by a small minority that something is 'going on'. It doesn't matter whether it's ratings (an old favourite) or the master program, over the years there has been this feeling that something sinister is underneath.

I have been on the inside for many years and have all the inside knowledge. I'm now no longer 'staff' so no-one controls what I say or do, so I'll say what I like (within reason - some parts of my former life will always remain confidential). However... there has been nothing going on, nothing sinister with ratings, no secret 'master' plots. I'm a great believer in justice, so if I see a wrong I will shout it out loud. There's nothing even worth a mumble.

This kind of behaviour isn't just limited to WinCustomize, so I can only conclude large sections of mankind is needlessly paranoid and should perhaps take up breathing exercises or something.

That's exactly the sort of thing I would say if I was on the inside and wanted to throw the rubes off course when they were getting too close to the truth.

Irrational fears are not stilled by words.  No matter how many times you tell a frightened child there is no monster under the bed, unless you, through behavior PROVE there is no monster under the bed, your words are wasted.

I'm speaking purely in generalizations and I'm not talking to any one personally.  Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean somebody ISN'T out to get me.

I like NT. A lot. He's been helpful to me. Kind. Supportive. SO has WC on a whole.

It was his choice. 'Choice' being the key word. His reason isn't even important since he could have used ANY reason HE wanted to to make HIS choice.

It is what it is.

Don't mean to sound like an ass.  Just addin' my two cents after reading all of this 'stuff'.

Fuzzy...in #63 is quite correct.

He speaks from inside knowledge of 'the other side' -  just exactly how and what the Admins and Mods do/say about all facets of the site and its community.

There IS no agenda....and none of us can even pilot the black helicopters you see in the sky.

We have one role....and that is to maintain and promote the site and its community [that might have conjunctions but it is still just one thing].  Part of that is keeping a watchful eye on any potential over exuberance on the part of one or another of its/our members.  We try to nip flames in the bud.

The issue with public actions such as 'departures' is there will always be public speculation as to a cause, which is almost always wrong.  Communications are continued in private, particularly when others may be getting the wrong end of the stick and voicing such and thus ADDING to the 'conspiracy theorem'.

The most common reason for people to move on and/or stop skinning is that life is transient...and people's interests change.

Is Fuzzy Logic less devoted to the skinning community because he resigned from Modding? No. He, like several others is simply burnt out from coping with some of the silliness shown by people...silliness we are often obliged to respond to?

Of course, I've been doing 'this' the longest....and others are incredulous as to how I survive/put up with it/cope....answer is I'm too stupid to know how to chuck it in...;)

Bottom line...there IS no conspiracy other than a bunch of long-time members conspiring to devote their time and effort to the betterment of this community....;)

And?...............Might there be a DX theme in the works?

For me it was a there's more than meets the eye kind of skin--the more I looked at it, the more there was to see.
