What would you do different?

What would you use, add or change about this desktop to make it look sweeter, to me it looks pretty sweet already, but is missing something.

 

EDIT: I FORGOT TO METION THAT I DID NOT DESIGN OR CREATE ANYTHING IN THIS PICTURE I JUST PUT IT TOGETHER.

Honestly? I would recolor or auto-hide the taskbar (or replace it with a suitable WindowBlind);)   The  current color and all those systray icons just don't do the rest of your desktop justice,imho.

well,...I agree actually but i found it hard to find any WB that matched my dock theme


and BTW i still Dont get weather "more cowbell" is a joke or actually means something, on this forum everyone plays on each others jokes xD :/

Btw the cowbell reference is from an SNL (Saturday Night Live) skit with Will Ferrell.

 

I concur that the WB doesn't fit.

Otherwise you either need a better image host or upload a small file, it took awhile to load and I'm on a fairly fast connection.

I like the dock also....why not have it as a 'taskbar' by hiding the the windows taskbar and selecting 'always on top'?

Okay, so the title to this thread is 'What would you do different?'

Well, my approach would very different.  It's your desktop, set it up with whatever suites you. so I wouldn't be asking others.  Yes I know your intend was probably to seek assistance from the community, that's nice.  Your desktop should do or be a couple of things, first it's needs to relect what you like or want, the other is it needs to be usable.

Not sure how long you have been using the software but your tastes will change over time, what you like today you probably wouldn't use on your desktop a week or a month from now.  Your set up will always reflect how you feel at the moment, go with it.

If you are looking for some inspiration check out the WC Gallery Library for ScreenShots and you will be amazed at what some folks in the community come up with. :sun:
