Drones kill dozens in Pakistan

At least 40 people have been killed in a suspected US missile strike in north-west Pakistan, local officials say.

Army spokesman, Major-General Athar Abbas, told reporters:

"We have credible information that Maulana Fazlullah has been injured... But it is not possible to confirm whether he is alive or not."

Maulana Fazlullah is a radical cleric who commands the Pakistani Taliban in the Swat Valley.

This begs the question: Why is Obama allowed to kill lots of people while trying to hit the odd terrorist and where are the protesters threatening to gas him?

Don't get me wrong. I totally support President Obama here. The terrorists hide among civilians and those civilians are their responsibility, not Obama's.

But I do wonder why when Israel kills a few civilians who volunteer as human shields AND even knows their names and where exactly they were standing and why they were hit; why then is it acceptable for Obama's US to use missiles like that?
