All Random and Quitting

Well, title says it all.

Ppl are just joining All Random games to see the match-up and take advantage of the under 3mins quit. In other others, if I don't like the coin flip I quit, ridiculous in so many lvls.

Advice: Don't do that. Only join a All Random games if u r prepared for the consequences of the style of the game, that is, know how to play with every DG and accept the outcome of the coin flip and play the game.

See u guys in game, hf.

Its almost like a cheat... ppl joing random games to see if they will have some "unfair advantage" from other team, if they think they have worst DGs they quit.

This behavior is just lame!

Completely agree.  This was bound to happen, but is sad.  Glad to say I haven't experienced.  Why not play out a random encounter.

ALSO - SD - COULD IT BE ANY WORSE IF WE REMOVED THE 3 MIN COUNTER?  I cannot think of the last game where I benefited from a 3 min timeout.  That's nice for pantheon I guess, but how about changing it to a 20 second counter?  A-holes who chose a random game and then quit because they don't like the dgs are shite.  They should never have played it to begin with

quitting is old news.

I used to be like "whatever" about quitters but it seems to be such an issue now that if you quit you should have a stat that signifys you're a pussy by your name or something.

It's less than 3 mins anyway, it starts counting as soon as the load-screen pops up regardless of waiting for players etc. :\

Hmm... only bonus is that if peeps dump after 3 min, at least you don't get hurt stat wise...

The 3 minute rule is quite exploitable it seems.

Don't take away the 3 minute rule, it's useful if someone is lagging the game up. I don't think it's worth losing the ability to leave a crap game just because people can't use all random responsibly.

Good counter point.  3 min rule obviously does serve a purpose.

Increase wait time +5    Don't worry infinite, im not starting THAT arguement again.

I don't understand why people random than quit. If you really are trying to "get an advantage" or don't freaking like the hero youre gonna get, why do it at all?! There is no such thing as an advantage with heros unless one is obviously broken, which I hope wouldn't be the case for this game.

It is also important when someone drops right at the beginning of the game due to a connection issue.  I can then quit out without waiting for the other team to concede.

I think its a great idea. Last night I played a 6 ppl game and had 1 AI on my side. My teammate starts moaning and I ask him not to quit. Well he quits anyways.... Since it happened so soon I ditched out as well. No way your going to win on a huge 5v5 map with 2 AI. Got away without a loss!

Wasn't everybody crying about getting penalized for having AI on your team or getting stuck in games with no way they could win?Now people are complaining about the solution, sheesh!

You still get more favor than the quitting team so I figure its a win-win situation.

Agreed, that is my point... They dont know the game or strats enouth not only to not be able to play with all DG AND choose Random but also  they think some DG have an advantage just cos they dont know how to play against it.

I dont like the term Noob here cos its ok to be new in the game and dont know everything, or dont know how to play and dont want to play with one or more DG.

My point is, when you join a game you accept a comitment to play the game with other people and unless you have a good reason to quit like lag spikes, being stuck with AI and such when you quitt cos you dont like the terms that where clear in first place... you wasting the time of other people who just want to have some fun and play...

(The problem when the host quit the game doesnt count or count as a loss is the most serious problem in my opinion, it really pisses me off hehehhe)

The good news is that its not all games.  I've hosted quite a few random games and have yet to have anyone drop after realizing it was a crazy matchup.  Played against 2 erb opponents today and won.  It was a fun game.  I mostly like randoms because they force me and other people to try different dgs.  Its a nice change up IMO.

If people do this to you just write their name down and don't play with them again, same deal as leavers of any other type.

I have to agree with Woppin. Once personal ignore lists are in place, I'd like to think that this kind of behaviour will eventually weed itself out. It's pretty shitty.
