Please, implement the /noAI command line switch

It has been announced a long time ago, but it still does not work.

Or remove all benefits from killing an AI player (XP and gold). Pleeeease!

Well, I don't want to get matched up against AI at all ;).

This shouldn't be an option, it should be the default.

bump... AI is so damn annoying

QFT.

How is this fair for anyone?

Granted, CHeK was a good player and killed my more unexperienced teammates quite a lot. But killing the AI was still easy gold. Also he can't possibly hold all the flags alone. The game ended with all flags under the possession of FoL and the Citadel destroyed in a Domination game! With ~10000 to ~2500.

Hey, I had a 4v4 in Pantheon last night!

I wonder if this means they've switched it back on.

Admittedly, 6 of those were AI but still....

I kept trying to babysit the AI in my last game to keep it from being farmed.  It worked to an extent, but the AI inevitably chased the enemy to their healstone in Cataracts.  Needless to say, I couldn't follow it to the health stone to protect it.

In yer screenshot... how do you get it to read AI? When an AI is in my games, it always just shows a ping of 0 for the player.

It says 0 when a player was replaced by an AI. It says AI when the AI is there from the start.

On that note, it would be a good feature if replaced drops also read AI. Checking ping to find out who left is not very intuitive.

Cool. I never knew that. I do not think I've ever started a multiplayer game with AI ;p

Please remove the AIs at least from all ranked games. Just to give you an impression:

I think the screenshot gives a fair impression of how the AI performs in comparison to a human player. And I'm by no means a 'pro' player. Btw, those were 3 cheating nightmare AIs - not the 'farmable' AIs like Rook or QoT. There is no place for AIs in a competative match. They are fine for fun games but they will make a ranked game meaningless. If you think I'm wrong, please play against the Rook nightmare AI 1v1.

Just want to throw in a similar "test":

3 Nightmare AIs against me as Rook in a Fortress game on Prison, which should be absolutely impossible to pull off against any human player. But against the AI, it's a piece of cake...

Uh, the /noAI option has been in for ages and Ive used it since then.

Only time I get to play AI in pantheon is when someone leaves.

Yes, it's supposed to be in for ages, but it's not implemented. I use it too, but I get matched up with or against an AI all the time.

I just had a Pantheon game against one human player with 2 AIs on each side. And just another one with 3 human players on my side and only 1 human player on the other side (again a stupid 3v1):

humane left right at the beginning (hence the zero ping). My Demigod shortcut looks like this in the target line:

Code: c++
  1. "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /skipintro /noAI
It shouldn't be a syntax error, since /skipintro works. And it doesn't matter if I put /noai or /noAI.

C:\Spel\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe /windowed 800 600 /skipintro /localproxy /noAI

Try without the "" perhaps..

Im quite sure it works for me, only times I get to play VS AI is when someone leaves. I never see the AI tag but rather just 0 as ping.

No, it wouldn't work wihtout the "". Paths with spaces in it have to be quoted. Windows won't let you set it otherwise. It's the right syntax. As already said /skipintro wouldn't work otherwise either, if it was a syntax problem.

Maybe you just try to play Skirmishes or Pantheon games when there are equally enough people on Forces of Light and Forces of Darkness in the queue? ;)

does it work to put the syntaxes inside the "" then?

If it is as you say my luck has to be extreme imo..

No, only the path + the executable can be in the quotes. There is no way around it, it is the right syntax and /noAI does not work at all (while /skipintro or /serverproxyonly or /windowed etc. does).

Not if you only play Skirmish and Pantheon during prime time.

The times I usualy play Im alone in the Pantheon queue when I start it up, after a while when 4 or more are in the queue Im put into a game.

http://dgstats.insidesupcom.de/ shows its normally anti-primetime when I play. before midday.

Well then I have no idea :\
So far you are the first one to tell me that this thing should actually work.

Still not working for me in 1.19.

Bah it's just so utterly pointless to be matched up in a 3v1, 1v3, 2v1, 1v2 etc. Either way, the guy that is alone with AI teammates will usually concede right away and then you have to start from scratch with the auto matching. Chances are that the same people as  before will be in the queue again and they may be matched up with an AI again. And then you have to concede again and start the automatching again... and again. And again. And then you'll be matched against AI only. And then you quit/concede and start automatching again. And again. And again and again.
