Is there a way of removing the Windows logo from the login screen?

The 'Windows vista home premium' and the logo. I am using Stardock logon studio to change the background but it doesnt get rid of the windows logo. Know how?

You can't get rid of it, it's hardcoded into Windows. The only thing you can change in a Vista logon is the background.

Logo can be removed...with a program called resource hacker:

run resource hacker

navigate to C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd

Open Basebrd.dll

Locate the bitmap Folder Then delete bitmaps.

Note: You can Change/Edit the bitmap also.

Been without the logo for months and doing this had no adverse affects on vista.

Raven2043: Altering that file? I would suggest making a copy of it and storing it in another place before using that 'hack'. I would also think doing this might void any warranty for the OS.

Made backup of it....but that was months ago and it has caused no problems...besides I have full backup through Acronis True Image if it did.
