DAMN GOOD PATCH - A few suggestions

DAMN GOOD PATCH - A few suggestions

I would like to start with - GPG and Stardock, you guys rock.  This patch is starting to make the game extremely enjoyable.  The balancing is getting there.  Most demigod feel very well balanced.

UB spit is where it is supposed to be (I still die from it but not all the time - you still have an option to be able to survive if you play it smart)

Priests experience is excellent - This is coming from a regular TB player which hated decreasing xp on creeps.  It is now an option to get priests in the game depending on enemy.

Heart of Life - This was nerfed too much to the point where it will never be used - 12k is too much.  Bring down to 9k.  This is the point where you can either get this or get citadel upgrades.  A toss up game.

A few problems - Favor items are still not working.  I get favor and able to buy favor items, however, when I play another game the favor item I purchased gets reset and my favor I spent gets refunded allowing me to buy another favor item of higher value.

Cataract map -  I am still able to capture the flag on the top left without getting hit by towers as a TB.  Regulus should not be able to hit towers from a distance without getting hit and should not be able to use mines as granades on the towers.  The towers go down EXTREMELY fast (one mine drop will take out about 33% of the tower's health - Add to that a regulus being able to hit towers without getting hit and it basically means a dead tower before you can get to it.  You have to be baby sitting the towers even with tower regen 1)

which bring me to Regulus.

Regulus mines at this point are unavoidable.  Someone who has figured out the trick can kill any demigod in seconds.  One mine drop = 65% of life (depending on level and hp items) but it basically almost means certain death.  Most people don't like talks of reducing the effectiveness of a skill, but I think this one needs a little refining.  I will open up this up to the community here.  Please include your thoughts on this.

Good job on the crash fixes.  I don't get any crashes anymore and games join quickly.

I have seen some people explain that this is a team game.  Absolutely, and normally two regulus is not a problem since they are so fragile.  However, when you have three demigods going after two regulus.  The two will dump the mines at the three demigods feet inflicting damage to all three demigods.  On top of that, if you want to run, both regulus will just snipe and you are as good as dead.  Even with health stacking, it still does so much damage it is hard to control.  I am not calling on a mine nerf (which implies a huge drop in efficacy) - More so, adjust them very slightly.  Mines work well, they are just too much (specially with the splash damage).  I've been in situations where I know the mine is there.  I stray away from the mine and along comes a friendly demigod, steping on the mine and I take the same damage (Even if I am away from the mine).  Although it wasn't in the changelong, was UB spit changed it a bit?  It feels different (slightly less powerful?)  or perhaps I am playing differently.

To Izzo,

I am not trying to be a fanboi.  I tell it like it is.  If the game patch made it worst, I am going to say it without sounding like a twelve year old.  For me the game patch made a significant difference.  I also agree with one person here about the ingame chat.  If you are using a lower resolution you can't see the chat well (it is covered) specially when you finish the game (you have the victory or defeat splash screen on top of the chat).

This update seemed to have fixed the sound issue (where the sound remains after you leave the game)  I didn't see that mentioned specifically in the changelog.

I agree mines need a slight adjustment.... I dont think it needs a damage nerf as i believe reggie needs it... but some sort of either extra casting delay or delay on explosion would be benificial.

ATM they are grenades... most reg players barely even setup traps anymore and just treat mines like grenades. The fact you can toss 3 mines which all group nice a tight together at someones feet with decent range, quick casting, and have almost instant effect and then have good AoE explosion is crazy.... Its like hammer smash, without the needing of being mega close or even good aim.

But thats my opinion.... I think it just needs extra delay either in casting or exploding.

Also I agree the +2 range on level 1 range skill is annyoing.... a early game tower rook + reggie can start rippng through towers very quickly.

Regulus mines are about on par with rook hammer slam (1450 vs 1700). Striking a moving target is difficult and the motion can be stunned. The slow portion is certainly annoying, but I don't really see it as game breaking (especially with the newly implemented slow cap). If regulus was repeatedly dominating games with mines I might be concerned, but both playing as him, and playing against him, I can confidently say this isn't the case. They are a precision weapon with a hefty mana cost, and I don't really see them requiring any adjustment.
