BoogieBac didn't seem very optimistic on Tuesday about it being today.. he said it wasn't looking too good because they still had a lot of little things to polish.

When are they going to say who was IN the alpha? I'm getting tired of making all those insightful posts in the ideas section...

I doubt they'll post a list at all. When it comes out, if you get charged and suddenly see it in Impulse, you were chosen/won the lottery.

Either that or the selected people will get an email. I doubt they'd post a list on the forums, though.

I thought they would do it by PM. It's private, but based on the forums, which is where the evaluation takes place. Plus, some people don't put their real e-mail addresses in out of paranoia.

Well, everyone needs a valid email for SD, since that's where purchase information and serials and such get sent.

They could send a PM to the chosen 24, but they'd only have to do that if they can't figure out what the persons Impulse account is in order to activate the registration. If they can find you that way, you'll get an email from them when the charge goes through and the game becomes active for you anyway.

At the very least I would expect either an email or a PM (or both).

It would be weird if it just showed up on Impulse and there was no other notification.

As I said, if you get in, your pre-order gets charged. Stardock automatically sends an email to your Impulse account when that happens. The email gets sent before the game is registered (though if the Impulse tray app shows a notice for a new game appearing, it's possible you could see that before you checked your email).

I went through this with the Entrenchment beta. You'll get an email, no worries.

For the record, just mentioning that there is a very high probability of Stardock personnel LTAO about our "desperate" speculation about the alpha...
