Crazy high ping....

Okay, so this is my ping normally...


When I join a lobby/game my ping jumps to well over 1000+

Does anyone have ANY idea what might be happening? I have flawless connectivity in any other online game I play. 

EDIT: Tested my ping at 10x the distance away...

Still under 200.

Do you use any antivirus or firewall software?

I turned my firewall off and tried it, no change.

Something really odd did happen though. I was in a lobby and some people were saying my ping was over 9000. So I told them to hold on and went to speedtest.net and ran a test. While in the lobby it said my ping was over 9000 (no joke intended) speedtest tells me that it was actually 43...

I'm so confused about what is wrong with this game. I need help...

Well, it seems like a software issue. What firewall do you use? Disabling it will not solve the problem, typically. What type of router do you have? Is there a firewall running on it?

Oh...sry, my bad. :) I didn't realize that you were referring to the router's firewall...Though he didn't said if he's using one (router).

Can't you connect your pc directly to the internet modem, bypassing the router? It's the easiest way to know for sure if your roter is to blame...
