Game now unplayable, cannot get past login

I've been playing this game for about a month now and have been able to get past most connectivity issues and bugs so far, but now the game is totally unplayable. Here are my steps when trying to login:

 1. Start impulse.

 2. Click "Run" Demigod.

 3. See load screen, movie intro, yada, yada.

 4. Click "Multiplayer" button (this steps take nearly 4 minutes to even advance to the login screen every time now).

 5. Click "Log In" button. (this steps also takes about 4 minutes everytime now before I get "invalid username/password").

So, seriously, what's the deal here guys? It's been working (not perfectly mind you) but now it is stopped all together. Is this as far as the game is going to get now? Help me out here. =/

Nvm, as soon as I posted this, the game started to work again. BTW, I am a software test analyst and I swear, developers can read minds sometimes and fix things as I report them. =)

This is due to your previous gaming session not timing out. It can take from a few seconds to timeout and clear (so you can relogon) up to a few minutes (10mins tops I would say).

That didn't really explain the first attempt though, as the same scenario presented it self there as well. Oh well, at least that was resolved. =)

Had the same thing happen to me earlier this week, pretty sure it was Tuesday night..around 9 EST.

Maxxy described it perfectly - it happens to me sometimes, it's taken a lot longer than 4 minutes in some cases. It's not really an issue as it is an annoyance.
