I NEED SOME HELP!!!!

Hi Guys, Ok so i bought this game about 4 months ago. Yea as long as that and still dont have really any clue how to play it. But there is something that feels right about this game. If i could only learn how to play it i can imagine this game to be soooooooooooo addictive. Anyway im asking anyone for help cos' im a noob, but more to the point i was wondering if anyone would start to make a 'Let's play Civ 2' on youtube. It would be great for new players to learn the ropes as it were. Anyway here's hoping that some one will do this:)

Each ship has a max range.

More precisely, each ship has a maximum distance that its destination can be from a settled planet or space station.

That distance is determined by Life Support modules (look at Modules in the ship design screen) on the ship itself, and also simply by having researched progressively stronger Life Support techs.

Examine the research path that includes Logistics (IIRC).  I think once you research Basic Logistics, you can begin to research Life Support upgrades.

However, you generally start with "Basic Support" modules already available to put on ship designs.  You may just have to add one or more of them to your Freighter design.

The most important thing to remember is to balance your spending and income.  There are building that will increase your income, or give you more capacity to spend.  It seems intuitive to just build factories and labs, but in reality it doesn't make sense, because you need money to utilize them.

Also, if you split your domestic percentages between research and production, say 50/50, each building will be partially utilized at 50% even if your spending is at 100%.

Good luck!
