Any dock which can do this?

Hello people!

To start off, I'm running ObjectDock on Windows Vista.

My question pertains using ObjectDock as a taskbar. I use Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk to chat quite a bit, and I noticed that if the chat window is minimised and someone talks to me, the resulting animation is a blinking icon for about 4 blinks before stopping.

My question is this: Is there anyway to change the animation to something A LOT easier to notice. My icons are 16px and the blinking just isn't noticeable enough compared to a normal taskbar where the whole task flashes. Also, is it possible to change it such that the animation keeps going on until the window becomes active?

OR

Is there a dock which can act as a taskbar, but with the functionality mentioned above, i.e. really obvious when someone talks to you

well object dock can act as a taskbar replacement....when you shrink the window too you can see it there shrunk if you dock isnt a hiding dock or is big enough for you to see...i dont know if you can change the way it alerts to a window though...are you using the free version or plus version?

Oh oops sorry for not stating this earlier, I'm using the free version.

I can see the window minimised into ObjectDock cause I placed the dock over the place where my taskbar is supposed to be (I toggle it off and on using AutoHotKey). My problem is that cause I don't want the dock taking too much space and my taskbar is only 20px thick, so my icons on the task bar are really small, and so I can't really see the flashing animation unless I'm already looking at the dock. Which makes it irritating cause I don't see when people talk to me, and especially since the animation stops after 4 flashes, I am unable to tell if that person has said something even if I looked at my dock from time to time.

I had been using OD+ as a taskbar replacement for a week but I had to go back to the XP taskbar. I find that tray support is still very bad for me not to have all sorts of things in the back of my mind while dealing with it.

Namely:

1) Waking up skype from OD+ tray crashes it;

2) Bluetooth icon does nothing when I click it and a device is wating to be connected. This means I cannot enter in the password and connect;

3) Certain icons just do not appear (NVIDIA settings is just a hole between other icons);

It's a shame because I could really use the screen estate....
