Partly as a favor to those who are opposed to twitter
, partly because I'm bored, and partly because I want to contribute to the communty, I'm going to post here the developer tweets. Here are all the ones to date:

-
Getting in last minute tweaks (colorizing cloth icons, new selection cursor, grid in cloth mode) before making our weekly Internal Build.
-
I've decided we need to prioritize 'Little Forest' generation. Open fields look so bare without some random groves dotting the landscape.
-
(re: First beta Build) Working hard to get a 'limited-alpha' out next week, but that depends on how much we get done by tomorrow.
-
Time for a mini-meeting about organizing large files...World.cpp is up to 6000 lines and getting a bit unruly.
-
Mental Note: With Jesse back I can request code to dynamically destroy city buildings-the more flying bits and fiery wreckage the better!
-
Playing Elemental with arrow keys feels like an old-school RPG (think original FF, DQ, or Ultima).
-
Wow...just now got the units receiving the key messages. Now to get them moving as the player commands.
-
First two shots from the first set of Intro Storyboards... http://sd.stardock.com/Elemental/Intro_Storyboard1.jpg
- Line of GC2 code that never got used...#define STEALTH_CHANCE_OF_HIT 10...looks like stealth was toyed with at some point. Interesting.
-
is digging through GalCiv2 code to re-learn how to move units via the keyboard.
- comparest that spider Pewter Peice some old unshaded cloth map peices...yuck. http://sd.stardock.com/Elemental/ShinyPewterComparison_Bleh.jpg
- A Highly Specular Pewter Spider on the Cloth Map http://sd.stardock.com/Elemental/ShinySpiderOnClothMap.jpg ...Still needs colorized.
- When your Sovereign founds a new Settlement, he will use his remaining moves, enter the new city, and rest his feet.
- More digging to be done...got 24s for Scott, 31s for Brad, and 37s for Jesse. Paul suggests roads and rivers may be at fault...we'll see.
- Wow...huge speed boost, new pewter peices looking great! What a productive day!!!
- Time for the final time of the evening.....(makes drumroll sound).... 38.7!!!!!!! High fives and drinks all around!!!
- 1m40s down to a smooth 51s....now where can we trim another 25 seconds?
- This week - Speeding up Load Time (was 1:40 from Start to Map on Friday), Fancier Pewter Peices, and New Startup Screens!
I will try to keep this as updated as possible.
