I read Dr Seuss to my kids and my grandkids. I'll stick with P.K.

Not yet and I don't care to now. Maybe the cliff notes.

Wait for somebody to turn it into a movie.  Other movies based on P.K. Dick's work include, Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report... all titles I include in my list of best movies, but like you...I can't really follow that guys books to save my life!  I just ask my oldest son what they're about, because he owns everything by P.K., and he understands them.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

I have read Minority Report. I am aging, I didn't put the connection together. I have never seen bladerunner as I am saving it for later in life. I do wierd things like that. I just listened to disc 2 of Led Zep physical Graffiti a few months ago for the first time. I waited 30 years for it and boy it was worth the wait.

I'm waiting for the animated version. Movies are way too high brow.

WHAT?  There's a second disc for Physical Graffit?!!  Time for me to rifle through my youngest son's CD collection -- I borrowed it once to copy a song onto my iPod...I thought there was only one disc.

When it comes to era-oriented things, I'm a mess, really.  I didn't get any of the music for "my" generation (70's Rock) because my emotional development was arrested, and I was enmesh with icky teenybop things due to the strangle hold my parents had on me, determined to keep me a "good" girl forever -- I didn't get into the 80's until the late 90s because during the 80s my husband had a strangle hold on me, determined to keep me a "good, Biblical, wife" and would only let me listen to Christian music.  So now I listen to all kinds of stuff, old and new, to make up for lost time, and to make sure I don't turn into one of those people who get stuck at a certain era.

Oh man...that's GOOD!  And I thought all The Kinks did was Lola.  I guess I just haven't lived, huh?

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.....cos if you do it today....and like it....you can always do it again tomorrow.

Oh yeah,..... tomorrow never comes.

and...

There's time enough to sleep..... when I'm dead.

I do that too Craig...I often stop watching a tv show and just let the episodes pile up...then have a marathon and watch them all in a row.

Easier to follow and takes less time...no commercials. :D

I kinda look at it like wine or scotch. I'm just waiting for the right time. Eventually someone that ran out of ideas will redo it. That's when I'll watch the original. I did it with The day the Earth Stood Still.

i LUV ROGER WATERS...........

I saw him live twice last year. He's gotten too political. I don't care to see him again but I'll keep listening to the music. :)

I always seem to go back to Zep no matter how old I get.

Have you listened to any Therion?  Vovin is my favorite album by that group, but they have several others that are very good, too.

Time
(Mason, Waters, Wright, Gilmour) 7:06

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

Pinkfloyd is essentially a combined talent (should I say genius) of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour.
