20% off coupons are out (or being sent out presently)!!!

Check your email!  Here's the body of the email - just received this at 4:30PM on 6/12/2009

Greetings Demigod player!

We've got a lot of exciting new features coming out for Demigod this month in version 1.1 but we wanted to let you know that we did a significant update this week that incorporates a largely multiplayer connection system that was developed by Stardock.

Details here: Demigod Forums

To help encourage an active on-line community, we will be sending out coupons to players who have been playing on-line. This first coupon is being sent to all Demigod players regardless of whether they play on-line or not. It's 20% off of any item on ImpulseDriven.com. This week Impulse began adding new titles from Activision and Ubisoft.

We will continue to send out coupons to active Demigod players over the coming months. On behalf of both Stardock and Gas Powered Games, we look forward to your input on the Demigod forums (www.demigodthegame.com) for new features you would like to see.

To help encourage an active Demigod community, we will be occasionally be sending out additional coupons to active players of Demigod (people who play more than a couple of hours a week).  So keep playing and enjoy!

does this include people who dont/cant play online?

not like it matters i guess. i cant see me ever being able to stomach multiple hours a week of SP in this game, so i guess no more coupons for me.

So, if things work right, it sounds like all owners of demigod would get this (so long as they are registered).

Yeah I got it. I was thinking about buying Prototype and this coupon just sealed the deal for me.

right. THIS coupon. clear on that. im asking if i could expect to get any MORE coupons, because i dont play online. im assuming not. and coupons arent going to be enough to get me to START playing online, either. tried it already. id rather have satan's goat kick me in the nuts for eternity than try to play even one more pick-up game of demigod. no coupon is worth that.

I received mine, but what is up with the crazy short time period to use coupons in? First there was the 50% off coupons presumably to give out to friends, and now this one with only a 3 day span to use it in? What's up with that?

I do appreciate the coupon and all, but we don't even have an entire week!?

I got a coupon. Don't need it. Who wants it?

If nobody else claims it, I'll take it. I have a friend who may use it.

I was so exited when I got that mail. I was buying Sins and checking out when suddenly:

"You cannot use PayPal to checkout when you have applied coupons to your cart. If you wish to checkout using PayPal, please remove your applied coupons."

Yay! So yeah, now I can't use the discount :(.

kind of a goofy restriction...o_O

Wow seriously you cant use paypal with a coupon...

Maestro is never supported from US based stores which means I cant use it either - and I'm sure alot of people from Europe are in the same boat. Was going to get the Kudos games but now you miss out on a sale. Whats with the short coupon lifespans and these crappy restrictions?

Other coupons will be based on online time, not single player.

Featured Releases :
Prototype Availability:North America (US and Canada)
Call of Duty 4 Availability:North America (US and Canada)

Ok I am an European, why do you send me that ? Why are you sending me some advertising about something I can't buy ?

This week Impulse began adding new titles from Activision and Ubisoft.

Expires: June 15, 2009

You send the coupon first, and then new titles comes on Impulse ? Nice !

Thanks Stardock for sending such email.
If I can give some advices, stop sending coupons like that, you just tarnish your image, or at least for me.

Keep in mind that I really like Stardock and it's why it's bother me.

The mailing list is universal, the title availability is set by the original publisher.

Never seen so many people complain about a coupon.  I don't want mine this time, butI am not bitching.  It is a freebie.  Why do people complain about free stuff.  It's like getting a red porsche for 40k and getting a white ipod free with the purchase and then trash talking porsche for not giving you a red apple to match your car and if they would have just waited two more months they could have given you the new edition ipod.

This is free, if you don't like it don't use.  Don't complain.  Seriously, if I was brad I might stop giving stuff to people who only bitch.

Oh really ? I know what is Impulse, but thanks anyway  <_<
The fact is Stardock can promote titles which are available worldwide or just care about some customers.

I ask, if Frogboy or someone from Stardock doesn't show any interest, i know my answer. But I you don't like it, don't reply it <_<

And I think there is some good moderators around here, if I cross the line they know what to do. But thanks anyway, I will keep that in mind.

Because we paid full whack for the game at launch which was broken and almost unplayable, and this was to say sorry basically, yet the lack of paypal use with it means its not usable for me and problably alot of other europeans too - not really a very good sorry wouldn't you agree?

I got mine today and I only got 2 days to use it(13TH-15TH). I have lost faith in Stardock. At least they could of given 5 days to use it.

I'd really like to give this game a shot with 1.1 and a lot of its connectivity problems fixed.  I've been following the awesome job Stardock has been doing keeping the community informed while waiting for the demo and its something i think should be rewareded.  If anyone has a spare coupon can you please PM me?

3 more days and you'd still have faith, eh... Anyway, the short time window is a little strange to me, but I've been waiting for this since it was announced and I'm glad they followed through... off to browse the store where I'll more than likely pre-order elemental.

yes that is correct as I have to go to the bank to put money in my VISA so i can spend money. But the coupon has no use if i can't pay.. I love impulse over steam any day and I will still prefer impulse because they have the better games.

Just a heads up - I'm not sure how well this coupon will trade.  The code someone posted in another thread was identical to mine, so I assume that the code is freely available for use, but you might have to own demigod to use it.

SIDE NOTE: Any cool games to spend this on, besides Sins?

I just pre-ordered elemental ($39.96 with coupon).  I was seriously considering the Witcher enhanced edition.  Thanks SD.

After I completed the order, I threw another game in my cart and applied the coupon... and 20% was taken off.  I didn't complete the transaction, but just fyi... this appears to be 20% off any number of transactions and if what impossiblereality said is correct, it may all be the same code.  SD - hope that was your intent and hope you get alot of sales generated by this.

Prototype was just released. There's also The Witcher Extended Edition, which is a great RPG. There's Sup Com if you don't have it, CoH: Tales of Valor.
