Gaining Trade Goods in a Trade- Quesiton

If you gain a trade good in a trade..you obviously can't trade it anymore, but do you get the benefits it gives your
civilization...just as population bonus with the aprhodesiacs, etc?

Yes, if you trade to get a trade good from another civilization, you get the benefits of that good. You can't, however, trade it away again to someone else.

didn't know this. Thanks very much.

However, it seems to require the next turn for the benefit to take effect. A possible bug? Saving the game right after the deal and then reloading it is a way to get the benefit immediately.

If (when, actually) the civilization that makes the good gets wiped out, do you still get to keep it?

I would also like to know the same thing as miguel here; do you keep the traded-for trade good bonus after the race that sold it to you gets destroyed...

And on the flipside... if you conquer an enemy civilzation who received a tradegood, do you get it?

Once you have bought the license to the trade good, it remains with you forever. I'm quite sure about this as I still have the grav acc bonus after the licensor is gone.

There is no conquering of wonders and TGs in this game. What basically happens is that they are put of future circulation. Those who have licensed it previously are unaffected.

You can't conquer a wonder?

Arg... lots of times I use less destructive invasion options cause I know the Drengin have an Eyes of the Universe somewhere and I don't want to blow it up.

I wiped out a couple capitals that way... well, even if it doesn't work with wonders... it's worth saving Capitals.
