AI needs to think before surrendering

ok i have played 3 games today on just some small maps(1v1) and i fiqured out that the AI gives up too easily. it seem like as soon as i came to thier home planet they just gave up. now on the first two games i rushed threw them and went to the AIs home planet while they still had maybe 5 to 6 planets left, all of them had factories and everything u would need to fight till the end but they gave up. and then i thought maybe as soon as i get to the home planet the AI gives up, so i played as the vasari and i used thier cannon to make a phase jump at thier home planet and they gave up (and its not like i was winning either cause i had only 6 planets on a 20 planet map). so i guess with this new update coming out maybe stardock can look at that and tweak it so that if the AI can still fight make them stay in there. i mean if im an alien race facing against the humans i want to c them fighting to survive and to make it look like hollywood or something lol...and make it more worthwhile to end it.

the AI was on hard but even still if the AI was on a lower level if they still have money and factories i think they should still fight and not just give up so easily just because i reached thier home.

More than likely, it assumes that because you have the power to completely bypass its other planets, it has no chance to win... Or it could be a bug...

Ironclad never really said what exactly the AI uses to determine when to surrender or not. If you just wiped out its fleet and its homeplanet, on a small map, I can see it surrendering because really it has no chance of a comeback.

Used to be that it didn't surrender at all, but people kept complaining that it took too long to mop up after the game is "decided", so they put it in.

Of course the problem is, everyone has a different definition of "decided". :P
