lil help changing my background color

yes im a beginner at this

ok everybody yes i am a noob/newbie(you be the judge) who has just got this windowblinds thingie so far i like it especialy this "Noire" sking by a alexandrie at www.pixtudio.com (its a default skin but its practically perfect for me) but here is my problem...

i use different backgrounds every now and then and right now i am in the mood for bleach ( jap anime show... rather good i suggest you watch it ) and this is the background i want right now

now putting that picture there isnt the problem ... and due to my having a ton of icons on my desktop i dont want to streach the image so i have centered it ... looks rather good ... so after reading this much your probably wondering what my problem is well as you know when you center something that isnt big enough to cover the whole screen you get a background color ... and it is grey ... i want it to be black so it fits in with the picture more... now i can manually do this outside windowblinds by going start > control panel > display > desktop and change teh color there but after i do a restart or log off or something it goes back to grey .... is there any way i can change the background color to black from grey without changing the skin

i have tried "edit skin color" > darker [insert slide bar here] Lighter ... when i go all the way to darker it does make teh background color black true but it makes basicly everything black as well including the nice white boxes so i cant read any text or see what im doing

sorry for being a idiot and i hope you can help with my problem

once again sorry if i put too much detail i just find it helps people understand what im talking about

I believe you will have to reset it to black after each reboot. The gray is set by the skin you are using.

A good way around this is to make the background you want to use the same size as the resolution you are running. Or, fill around the centered background with black to make the background match your resolution. If you don't know how, I am sure one of the kind people here can do it for you easily if you let them know your resolution.

Open WB config, Colours tab, Change system colours, System colour background, change it to black. This will change the setting of the skin so you should not have to change it again.

unfortunantly i dont see a colours tab....

i have

settings

skins

toobars

animations

basicsettings

user overrides

per application

wallpapers

windowblindes

apply changes

ui settings

unload windowblinds

close window

system information

windowblinds help

----------------------------------------------------------

then on the picture of what the skin would look like (when skins is highlighted) i have

install skin from disk

edit in skin studio

change skin colour (tryed this it only thing it changes is the color of the little start button and the lightness/darkness and this is the part i talked about earlyer with the making everything go black if i put it too dark)

delete this skin

This is a very old version. Where did you download it from.

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

This indicates a legit purchased version from Stardock, is it?

Update your WB install.

OP will be able to update if 5 was purchased within the timeframe allowing free update to 6 - if Op originally purchased 4 and was allowed to update to 5... 5 is it (not counting any odnt subs)

on the one hand - use paint or whatever to create a pic the solid color you want at your resolution - then put your pic over that centered where you want it, save the whole thing and use that as the wall

on the other hand...
