er months of buggering around in C4D I think I might just be ready to try pull off a true Chrome windowblind.. You know. not just metallic looking gradients and highlights, but real, rendered, reflective materials and about as far away from Vista as I can possibly imagine going, at least regarding material composition.

Now thats what I'm talkin' bout.

 

2 image layers...one reounded,one square...both gold at 69%...layered in multiply with auto mask(still needed the rounded ones to get the color off the shadow)

Judicious painting and content margins and VOILA! mmmmmmmmmmm...I feel rich!

I guessed at the radius so it a little too round...dosnt reach the edge.

 

Crap!...I got one of the margins on the grey...easy to fix.

For over two years now my skins have been on uploaded to WC between 1-2 weeks of release on my site.This will be no different.

I just asked because I noticed the " finished " remark in the thread. Also with the wallpapers being posted and the other themes from different categories based on this led me to wonder if it might be an exclusive from your site only.

My opinion on the matter: It's your stuff, do what you want. You've had the WIP thread on here for nearly a month with regular updates and have now added the finished remark to the thread. Most people know where to get it if isn't here. Essentially it's been advertised here since June 5 without providing the info on where to get it unless one were to look at your profile and see what you have set as your home page and then actually go there and spot it.

Do I agree with the practice.. no I don't. If Stardock wants to be left out of the first few weeks of sales on this (which will obviously be a huge one) then I guess that is their battle to wage not mine.
