How do I do the /serverproxyonly fix?

Make a Demigod shortcut on your desktop, or find the demigod.exe in your demigod folder (will be under the bin folder), then right click it, go to properties. Under target, fill in /serverproxyonly with a space after the path of your demigod. Like so.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /serverproxyonly

Fill /serverproxyonly with a space before it. My Program Files is (x86) probably because I use Vista64bit. Other than that, just type in /serverproxyonly and your problem is solved. Oh and remember to launch Demigod ONLY on the icon you punched in /serverproxyonly. So if you input /serverproxyonly on your Demigod shortcut on your desktop, then only launch Demigod from that icon.

Open impulse, right click on DG, and click "open application folder".  Once there, go into "bin".  Find "Demigod".  Right click and create a shortcut.  Move this shortcut to your desktop.  Once there, right click the shortcut and click "properties".  In the box next to "target", add /serverproxyonly so that it looks like

"C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe" /serverproxyonly

Create a shortcut to the game executable.  Right-click and open properties on the shortcut.  Add /serverproxyonly to the path.  Run the game from the shortcut.

You probably have a shortcut on you're desktop.

Use the Right Mouse Button (RMB) while hovering this shortcut and select Properties from the menu that appears

A window with properties of the shortcut is now showing.

The first edit control is called Target and shows something like "c:\program files\Stardock games\demigod\bin\demigod.exe"

after this text you need to add: /serverproxyonly

in this example it becomes:

"c:\program files\Stardock games\demigod\bin\demigod.exe" /serverproxyonly

Use the OK button to change the shortcut
