Even for as bad as the Nationals have been playing (which is pretty horrid really), I can't wait to go to tomorrow's Washington National game rather than being stuck at home and even partially tempted to watch another night of the horribly bad I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here on NBC.
I'm not a big fan of reality TV, but if you put together a compelling cast and offer the possibility of there being some combustibility, I'll probably watch a little just to see if some delicious trashiness takes place, which is why I'm sitting here watching the premiere of this season's I'm A Celeb... But after tonite, I'm just not at all inclined to watch more. In fact, seriously, I'm much more inclined now to just keep watching baseball, even bad baseball. Even Washington Nationals bad baseball.
Truthfully, I had tickets for tomorrow's (Tuesday, June 2, 2009) night game anyway, and intended to attend the game on Wednesday June 3, 2009 also as that game presents an opportunity for Randy "Big Unit" Johnson to notch his 300th victory. But that said, I was going to go to Tuesday's game simply to get the T-shirt that is being given away, and if not for Big Unit's potential history making event I probably wouldn't pay much attention to the Nationals as they've just been putrid lately. I still support 'em, and still wish that they'd get their season turned around, but they've been so bad that I feel like I just can't keep watching them.
Given the choice of watching them vs. watching this pathetic excuse for a reality TV series, give me the bad baseball please, though perhaps I can make both a little better by reaching into the refrigerator to grab a brew-ski. Assuming I have more than just a few in there that is
