Did anyone just see the press conference. They blew the other systems out of the water with a new motion capture device. Full body capture, facial recognition, voice recognition. it looks amazing. the Wii has nothing on it.
Spoiler: All consoles are for casual gamers. The fact that you [people] are arguing over which one of these failure-consoles is superior is incredibly amusing to the PC crowd [ie: The sins crowd]. Most of our videocards have more power than all 3 of your consoles combined. Yes, they cost more. Yes, they rule more. Yes, what seperates men from boys is the price of their toys.

I said 2005 because that was the release date of the XBox360 and Crysis 2 has been confirmed for XBox360. So over 5 years you will have to invest 0$ in hardware to play a new game, while in a PC you will need to buy a whole new computer, and I'm pretty sure a 2010 500$ computer will work so-so with Crysis 2 given the stellar performance of 500$ computers with Crysis 1. So search other points (like how mouse and keyboard are better for some game genres) because price-wise, consoles blow PCs.
It can have a very good use... by example, you register you game and the software ask a sample of your face and voice... once you wish start gaming, you need to speak and show your face else the game don't start... your young brother wish to play with your game... not possible unless he buy a license for himself...
It is a very possible use for feature like facial recognition or/and voice recognition... can become a standart way to protect software...
Oh yeah? Try SIMS 3. DLC for 6 times the game box's price to be had from day 1. And most of the stuff should actually be included.
So now we know EA's new strategy. Promising no DRM but instead delivering a game featuring only the most basic and essential features and everything that makes the game worthwhile is DLC costing a fortune. Good work EA!

Wrong. All PC's are for Elitists who think a machine makes them better than other people. I enjoy the GAMES not the PLATFORM. Yes, I will say that, Hardware willing PC games are vastly superior, at least visually, than Consoles. However, what it boils down to mostly is the UI. Some Genres are better worked than others with a mouse and keyboard. FPS and RTS will always be Mouse and Keyboard dominate, probably even after the invention of Subliminal controllers. But for that's a preferance. I pity how miserable you must be emotionally to have to resort to insulting people based on their gaming machine.
Microsoft won hands down, simply Because Mass Effect 2 was at the show. I don't even give a flying crap about Natal. The only thing is I'm wondering how badly EA is going to whore the game to make more munies. DLC content of 10$ Required to bring your Shepard over, ect... Vultures.
Other surprises: Final Fantaxy XIV. I've been a long time XI player, no other MMO really did it for me. WoW was too focused on PVP, everything done in that game was done to make you better for PVP, and honestly, I'd rather get teabagged on lolhalo than that. So this was interesting, as a worldwide release (I've never started an MMO from Day1, even FFXI was out for months before NA got)
New Kojima Castlevania. Nothing has come close to topping Symphony of the Night, I wonder if a conveluted storyline and unescessary repetion of story elements will make it better.

I don't see this microsoft thing being all that good. I think its only going to be good for games that well made just for it. At least with the Wii you can put converter some more standard games to work. This camera motion sensing thing just seems stupid to me.
It reminds me of the Eyetoy... It's about time the Xboite serie gets its own motion capture device.
microsoft does what microsoft does best mooches of others great ideas. They themselves are not terribly innovative but when they see the competition crushing them they adapt quickly.

is it me or our consoles killing the game market? PCs get so many crappy ports these days. They gear a game for the weakest console (360) and spread it to PS3 and PC. then the PC crowd gets a crappy interface little to no customization terrible AI etc...
At least we have stardock and valve
