Combat "smurfs" for a better community

This suggestion is simple, direct, and to the point.

Not much action needs to be taken, but in the record it should be shown with: Known Aliases which would display other SNs the user has created.  smurfs frankly are ruining the community, and it is too hard to guess whether someone is a new player or just a smurf trying to stack the team.  I'm sure this will cause some outrage, but its worth a shot posting.

The problem with saying that is alot of good players have the problem that they join a game, and as soon as they join people start to leave, just because they dont want to get creamed. Really to stop smurfs you should try to make people less afraid to learn from people who are better than them. That is a major reason people smurf.

(There are some people who smurf for the fun of it though)

I used to combat smurfs all the time.  They would join a game and I would combat em.   Pew pew pew.

People also smurf because some people won't play clan members. So to get a game, as said above people smurf.

I've seen a game where me and other clan members got booted from the game - so we logged in with normal accounts and were allowed to play. No idea why Hack is better then [_]-Hack... My Hack account has way more games played/won...

I totally agree abaut everything OP said, even without actualy reading post.

Smurfs are spawn of evil, and every decent scoutboy should combat them.

ONLY YOU CAN STOP SMURF WHINES!

Also, masturbation may lead your soul to eternal damnation!

And other proper old school scout boys chatolic values ^^

Do I smell a euphenism *lol* anywyas, smurfing I've fond is in bas taste but noobs who refuse to learn could

A: make a clan of noobs to play with

B: stop playing

C: Start Learning

Oh noez, us non pros might lose some games here and there.  Yeah, like anybody is going to take this whinefest seriously.

Smurf'S are a necessary evil.

If not for smurfs like other said it would be hard or imposible for you to get a game at times. Also in some occasions i joined games on my main an everyone wnated to be on my team. And fighting starts or people ont he otehr team quit sayign it'S unfair.

Behaviors such as that and others stated above are the reason skilled players smurf. IF we don't playing a game outside of a "Skilled" game is prety damn hard.

I am truly sorry for pointing this out, I really am, but this has got to be the worst spelling ever in human history (including the internet). Actually, I think that such a marvelous word could only have been designed on purpose, or you're a genius when it comes down to humor. Either way, it made me laugh quite hard, and for that I'd like to thank you. Definitely worth some Karma

Edit: just for the record, the correct spelling, while being pronounced pretty much identically, is "necessary"

On topic:

I don't mind smurfs in casual games, I can see the reason behind it (as Hack already pointed out it just takes a clan tag and people think you're some sort of uber-pro who'd kill each and every enemy with hands tied to his back, blindfolded and without ever touching the mouse - I daresay some sort of Chuck Norris avatar). Still, like all things in life this has two sides. People who smurf a lot should be aware that in more way than one this destroys peoples trust into the community. Being kicked just because you happen to belong to a clan is irrational and comes close to some sort of twisted superstition - but exactly because of that you shouldn't give in to it. Let people choose for themselves, instead of just denying them that choice by disguising yourself. Myself, I'd leave a game where the host kicks someone for that reason. Just host your own game, then. It can't be helped that some or even most people online are jerks that make the wrong choice.

In the long term smurfs will simply accomplish that noone will trust anyone he doesn't know personally, everyone could be a smurf, resulting in a sort of paranoia at worst. The multiplayer community is small enough as it is, don't make it even worse. I happened to be in quite a lot games that almost completely consisted of skilled veteran players (myself excluded), so it's hardly like there are no alternatives.

Being doubled or having a fed opponent suck, true. Nonetheless it's the greatest compliment you can receive, because people think you to be too skilled to be defeated by "fair" means. And often enough I've seen skilled players prevail in situations like that. After all, they didn't earn that fearsome reputation by luck and sheer chance alone.

Bottomline is probably that I'm taking this way too serious, but aside from that: stop smurfing, be proud of who/what you are and stick with it.

I don't think you were accused of that - I believe the accusation was that you were accused of smurfing with a logon that was identical to sunny's BIA logon except for a dash being different... I could be wrong but that was they way I understood it when it was explained to me.

He's just playing innocent, don't bother with it..

Its time to fix the system and remove smurfs entierly, one name to one account. Or something to show what names that account has on it.

Smurfs are defientely destroying this game, and they are the one major factor that is destroying it besides ICOs clunky interface. Being unable to tell who your playing against since a good player just wants a good win record he can stroke his epeen over is devestating to the community on the whole. New players don't know who thier going up against and neither do even expirenced players. Its not good, its not healthy to the community as a whole and there is literaly nothing good about smurfs!
