I just wanted to take a moment and say Happy Memorial Day to everyone who observes it, and to give a special thank you to our current enlisted men and women in the armed forces who put their lives on the line every day for our freedoms.

There are not words enought to express all that should be to those that have fallen, those that are left behind, and those that continue to put their lives on the line for what they believe is right.

Take some time to help the living that are serving, or have served.  It matters.

Yes. Very well said. Even more than "for what they believe is right"....even for those who believed differently than they did and do...even ideas which made their blood boil.

America is "Advanced Citizenship". You've gotta be willing to lay it all on the line to protect the right to differ from your own values: Even radically...not easy.

I would also like to echo Island Dog, in wishing all of my American friends a Happy Memorial Day. Well, it's slightly belated now, being just after midnight here in Toronto, Canada but it's the thought that counts. :)
