We have one week to redeem our coupons?  (May 22nd to May 29th)

How many weeks has your title been royally boned?  

It's really courageous of you to offer the discount, an extremely generous way to reward people for their early faith.  However, giving them a whole seven days to day redeem it is just disappointing.  Give them a month, or a year.  At least then if it expires and someone moans you can say "Hey, you had a pretty solid amount of time in which to redeem it."

Me, personally?  My chosen friend left for Europe on Tuesday and won't be back before the end of the month, which is after May 29th.  If only, if only.

I play Demigod with a LAN group and checked to see what they were saying after posting this, here are some of the comments:

"Way to nerf something awesome."

"If they gave us this May 1st, I could see May 29th, but 1 week?  Seriously?"

KenoLFD - I REALLY like that Stardock communicates with us AND does stuff like issuing coupons as an apology - those are the types of things that larger companies need to be doing.  I laud Stardock for being on the ball, on the forefront in that department.  However, those things are always going to be the important followup actions to a healthy release - and have to go along with healthy, solid, updates.

However, the company released a game focused on multiplayer with broken multiplayer, which is very much still broken (but making progress).  Great idea, terrible execution.

Same issue with the coupon!  Great idea, terrible execution.  It's got the makings of a trend you see, which is the problem.

problem with the coupon is that I can't recommend this game to anyone until the connection issues are taken care of.  And it is unclear that the big 7 days I have to use the coupon will be sufficient to make that determination...

The game is inexpensive enough (incl. the coupon) that it's worth the purchase just with the promise of better connectivity in the future (figure a month minimum, realistically).  Although that's coming from someone who managed to have exciting and vicious multiplayer games...via LAN (only).

I was kinda suprised to see the little amount of time you have to use the coupon as well.
