Im tempted to return Demigod

I like Demigod, alot, i really wished it was working, but it's not.  I Know at one point stardock said they'd refund copys of demigod,,, and i can't help but wonder why (since the game is just sitting on the shelf right now anyways) i don't return it, and then rebuy it in 3-6 months.... when it'll be cheaper...or use some buddy's coupon.....

Demigod seems a solid game, but it's kinda frustrating that right now it's in a state where we're better off forgetting about it, and returning in a few months.

your thoughts?

If you're having problems I suggest that you put Demigod down for awhile and play another game until a patch comes out that fixes them.

Why are you looking for support to return the game or not?  If you don't like playing in its present form or are unable to play due to connectivity issues, either return the game or sit on it while things are worked out.

If you still need some type of consensus or support from someone else before you make a decision with what to do with your own money, I would put more stock in one of your buddies thoughts than random community members.

Personally I think thats taking advantage of Stardock's return policy.  The game is solid as you said, if you can't deal with some growing pains then I suggest going to console games.

just saying, last time you paid for a hair cut, did they do half of it, and you justified it by saying there were growing as a stylist?

Ah equivocation, the great fallacy of logic.

Believe it or not, stylists are not perfect...in fact I bet a few people in this word have ended up with bad perms, too short of hair, or the wrong color.  The key is, if they learn from their mistakes and work hard to right what is wrong.  I think Stardock is donig just that and keeping us well informed along the way.

Honestly, I don't know why you're even bothering to post here.  If you really wanted to return it, nothing you'd read here would change your mind.  You can return the game or keep it, but because neither option affects the internet at large I can't figure out why you're expecting any of us to care.

Of course, I think we all know that the only reason you're posting here is because you want the attention, which is depressing bordering on pathetic.  Your time would be better spent making real friends.

Kinda mean, but I agree. I doubt you would ever change your mind because of us. If it doesn't work, I suggest getting a refund now. In my honest opinion, I doubt the game will ever get back to what it could have been after the bungle-up.

I'm posting here because despite stardocks great communication, a game i purchased a month ago is virtually unplayable, and that i find frustrating.  My post here is to see how the rest of the community is feeling, so you can save your assumptions for yourself as they no doubt mirror your own feelings.

Have you played tonight?

After patches, today was a non-stop succession of ggs.  Keep up the fire, SD.

Can you see if tonight's update takes care of you? The proxy servers are now in.

This is exactly what the return policy is for! Returns aren't allowed because you personally don't find the game to be enjoyable, they are allowed when you can't even play the frickin game to find out if you like it or not!

Exactly these fools don't realize that some of the issues are with users ISPs blocking p2p traffic.  That would make this game pretty much unplayable.  So the return policy is a good idea to allow gamers to ability to buy relatively risk free.  But you know SD isn't the first nor only software company to do this.  THey are just the only one that appears to want to ban people and actively chase them away for complaining about their game.  They use their refund policy as stick...they tell complainers to stfu and get a refund and to never come back again. If they keep that up they won't be in business for long.

Dante, sounds like you're ready for a refund
