Well, i just played the saddest demigod game in a long time. After a drop of players in both teams, ABornExile and Moonshine (AKA renz in GM clan) started talking what cheating they could and couldnt do with demigod, and one of them (aBornExile i think) actually slowed and speeded up the game at will.

Some more shit was said about what they could potentially do, and it was mentioned some players (friends of this 2 guys) get demigod accounts for free generating serial keys from a valid key. To my dismay one of them is member of the GM clan, and it seems all this "haxz" things was previosuly known by other clan member.

Now, i'm not accusing anyone of cheating since i don't have any proof and i couldn't care less, but i just wanted to let demigod community what this 2 guys claim to be able to do. I just won't forget these 2 names .

This is true.  A few individuals discovered this some time ago and has spread their knowledge to... more than a few people apparently. One of the individuals gave out the required info to a pal, then proceeded to spread the info around, probably to just about everyone on lagwars and beyond.  If SD were to shut down accounts that have been created using this process, I'd imagine the ladder would look quite a bit different.  As it stands, either SD is unaware that people use this process or is aware and doesn't care/can't do anything about it.  Then you get into the area of "what's the big deal if people have another account," etc.  The method currently used does circumvent the system to create new accounts.  I only really cared when one of my old pals explained to purgespam how to do this and accounts like gaycov started showing up.  heh.  I personally don't think it would take much to get SD to ban additional accounts at this point.  Yeah - SD does still ban accounts of people acting likes shites... they just probably don't do so based on info in the hall of shame.  Oh, and to go on the record - I used this method shortly after it was discovered > 6 months ago and created 2 accounts for myself.  I don't use them anymore and have since purchased another copy of the game to play with a little anonymity when that is my preference.  People are still actively creating accounts and apparently sharing the info with anyone that will listen as to how to create them.  Win - guys on lagwars - STFU.

I guess there's one nice thing about a game with a playerbase of 50.  A few cracked serial keys don't really make Baby Jesus cry.  OTOH the only time I see people using alts is when the game crashes and then insists that you are still logged in or using an invalid pw, so unless people are selling the keys for crack they've added value to the player experience at no cost to the developers.

Yeah - i don't exactly see banning happening for this behavior outside of perhaps banning the root account(s) that are the source - but even then, I don't know that SD has the time or desire to even look into that.  SD would certainly be in their right to take any action as it does amount to piracy or at least breaking the EULA. 

Some use it for that.  It certainly was a helpful trick back when the wait time to log back in was like 5 minutes...

Norm there is almost countless things you can do to affect others people gameplay. From simple things like enabling in game console to spam towers in game or give urself gold or affect game speed, thru creating countless acounts and finaly using 3rd party software to exploit the game.

Most semi decent players are aware of that. Thats why ranking sytem in demigod is so flawed that it should be completly removed because right now its causing more grief then good. Its seem that at current state the only way to enjoy the game is:
-Playing with friends

-Playing with people who are on lagwars

Open up a 3v3 have trouser chill on your team with his 70% win ration and see how long it takes to get a game going.... (about 40 minutes)

Only after like 100 hundred games and it takes a lot less to lower your percentage when you don't have 1000+ games
