Stardock - The Unresponsive Ability Bug Is NOT Fixed!

This is just to let you guys know, that the unresponsive Demigod bug is still here and hasnt been fixed as you guys thought it was. When I swarm > bite my Erebus sits there doing nothing, same applies to when I try to Venom Spit my UB will often just sit there doing nothing - same with Sedna/QoT. Its really quite gamebreaking, but I remember hearing a Dev saying that it was fixed in this patch, but you guys need to know it is not.

Thanks

I get it a lot with Erebus and UB. Before and After patch.

It usually happens when I queue up a second skill while the first one is going through.

Spit -> Grasp

Bat -> Bite

*proceeds to sit there while the enemy runs away*
End of kstampy's quote

i have this with UB every game... lost out on so many kills because of it :-(

Quoting GPG-Servo,
It is funny in retrospect to see how the OP broke the gameplay bugs down. We thought they were broken down the same way which was leading us to many false positives and incorrect assumptions on causality while troubleshooting. They are actually interrelated bugs with two completely unrelated causes.

About an hour ago we isolated these two causes of Blocking/Stucking/Targeting in-game as you refer to them, and knowing is more than half the battle for us. These aren't trivial to fix, and will require some extra testing to ensure we don't sacrifice stability in the process of fixing them, but this category of bugs just got a big red target painted on them.

In the meantime, you will see some improvement if you avoid targeting in the center left of your screen during chat, and abilities will fire more consistently if you issue a move command (as opposed to an attack command) prior to activating them, especially when pursuing or escorting a target.

FWIW, if you see a bug in-game and are REALLY passionate about helping us fix it, try to get what we call "100% repro", which is basically a step by step chronological list of the bare minimum things to do that will make the bug happen every time.

Try to eliminate unnecessary steps in the process, but don't leave out anything during game setup, those are often most crucial. Also avoid steps like "Play for 30 minutes". That is so nebulous that it hurts my head, and the number of things that can happen to taint the evidence during long lapses is exponentially infinite.

Obviously we aren't expecting everyone to spend time helping us make the game better in this way, it is our job afterall, but we can fix things so much more quickly when we have a clear understanding of the issues like this one.

"Light Catapults have joined the battle"

End of quote

Sevenix has stated that it is not gamebreaking and that "it's one of those minor annoyances that you get used to in games and will soon forget that it even exists"

He was one of the 5? Beta testers that the Dev's actually listened to and from what i see, because he did not deem it gamebreaking, it had no priority to be fixed.

So please do not complain about this "minor annoyance" because having to cast a heal within a split second on a dying ally and it not working for no reason does not effect that gameplay at all. :S

It's fairly nonexistent for me as a Rook player.
