Debit card saftey

Just a quick reminder with the increasing prevelance of all sorts of nifty devices, don't ever take your debit card on the road. Use a credit card. While some banks do provide a measure of protection against theft, if your debit card is skimmed and your account drained, you are likely going to be up a creek for a long while. Debit cards do NOT have the same types of consumer protections in place as do credit cards. Use a credit card, then pay it off when you get home.

Good advice, yet I also found that debit cards are almost never accepted by bank machines outside a country anyway. That's another argument for credit cards.

That is true and a good point. I was referring more to domestic travel (inside US) though.
