Let me address the issue about promotions.

We have over 3 million registered users on WinCustomize.  We also have about 6 active moderators.  Promotions are not done by computer or software, they are done by the recommendations of mods.  Unfortunately, we do miss people that should be moving up in the ranks, however, it's just one of things that occurs.

We don't mind getting a PM if you feel you have been mistakenly overlooked, but don't assume that just because you mention it you will automatically be promoted.  ;)

To jump on ID's statement, if you think you are *due* a promotion it's a good indication that you are not ready.

Promotions should not be about "getting" something; they should be about *giving* something.

 

My favorite part of being a moderator here is getting PMs from the newly promoted saying something like "I'm not worthy of this.  I'm just doing my best.  I'll try to do better/more to make myself worthy."

I may be going soft, but shit like that makes me so damn proud to be part of this place.
