Icondeveloper

Hello everyone out there, hope you are all well and healthy and drinking boatloads of Gluwyn......the problem I seem to be having happened about 3 updates ago, I can't seem to be able to pull the icons in batch processing out of there folders and turn them into PNG's like I used to do for objectdock, I thought okay maybe the next update would fix it, but I have two now, and nothing seems to have fixed it, I am doing everything the same as I always have, but still no joy.....I tried unistalling it and reinstalling it, still no joy, I even rebooted after the unistall before reinstalling.......I run WindowsXP, SP3....is there anybody out there who knows whats going on .....what am I saying there is always someone out there Ha ha ha Ha thanks folks....speak to you now :S :S :S :waaaa:

Can you step through the process you were/are doing so I can make sure I am testing the same way?

Icon developer goes from image types (jpg, gif, png, etc) to *.ico but doesn't do *.ico to other formats.

Hiya Zubaz, thanks for answering, this is how I used to do it...........I would open Icondeveloper, then an interface opens, I would close that, then I would proceed to File/Batch Processing/Export Images from Icons to a Folder.....it would then open up a browse interface, where you would look for the folder with the icons in it, the icons must already be loose, you know what I mean, extracted from the package itself already, numbered 1 to say 140, then I would pick 1 to 45 at first, cos you can't pick them all at once, the incondeveloper hangs up, then it would read them and then an interface wouyld come up asking you what size PNG' file are you looking to eport as, and it would have all theses various sizes, you would pick the size, then it would export them in the PNG format to a folder of your choice............I have done nearly every iconpackage that I have up to about 3 icondeveloper updates ago, then it stopped doing it, I hope this helps you....thanks Zubaz :andrew:

just tried the export from collection to folder - broke out all of Skyline2006 from .icl to individual ico's okay..

but trying to export a batch of images from ico's (I tried 10) causes an unhandled exception error

Bichur thats exactly what happens to me, does that mean there is a bug within icondeveloper or is it me on my side, something I am not doing right, cos as I say I used to do this all the time, now I get that unhandled exception error :andrew:

I think it's a bug

it would read them and then an interface wouyld come up asking you what size PNG' file are you looking to eport as, and it would have all theses various sizes, you would pick the size, then it would export them in the PNG format to a folder of your choice......

that ain't happening.  didn't happen when I picked one.. no interface when going through the batch option, just a 16x16 png

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Actually, our newest developer had this done at the beginning of this week but due to infrastructure problems we couldn't get it through testing until today. I'll test a bit over teh weekend and should get a fix out first thing Monday (if not this weekend).
