"Waiting for players" hang while waiting for the game to load.

This happened last night after already playing 2 successful multiplayer games. Everyone was green and after we ready'd up and the game launched we would be stuck at the "waiting for other players" screen where it shows you the airial view of the map. Only thing I could do after 10 minutes of waiting and nothing was to ctrl-alt-del and kill demigod.

 

I probably should have tried rebooting after that but instead i tried getting into another game and has the same problem.

Anyone else have this yet?

Yes, Reloaded the game and next one was fine.

Be prepared for connection errors to pop in from time to time and just reboot Demigod and try again if you come across one.

Ive found that if you have the game windowed, you can hit the x to exit it then the 'are you sure' window will stay there.

If you bring that up and hit cancel, sometimes it will kick you into the game

That's happened to me a couple times.  Just one of the many ways the game can hang up.

if you have a keyboard with configurable keys, do the following:

 

create a new text file -> open it and enter : TASKKILL /F /IM Demigod.exe /T -> close and save the textfile, give it a name and change the ending from .txt to .bat -> assign the file to a key

 

now you can hit the key everytime demigod freezes and it will be killed with no mercy. i've used it very often!
