you guys havent even given this games devs time to really show you what the game can do. How about instead of making assumptions on a few interviews that dont really explain all to much and pictures. How about you wait til theres some real info released. who knows maybe the change for the economy might be for the better. All i know is 6 nuc's launching all at once and being able to follow those nucs to their destination. never thought id see that.

Square Enix NEVER MADE A SINGLE GOOD GAME YET!
Hey moron it is developed by GPG not Square Enix

Those new screenshots look very good. Its stupid that it will only be sold in North America and Europe though.

Why would you think that?

If I can get this without getting a steam account then I will probably buy it!

If GPG actually sticks to the whole Gamers Bill of Rights concept they've agreed to, they cannot require Steam.

But then again, it might be up to the publisher and not GPG.

I may just have to buy it off of amazon.com or something.
There was never any official statement from Square Enix about not releasing outside of Europe and North America. And Square Enix definitely wants to release it in Japan too this time.

new stuff on the main website, stuff from cybrans and aeon, u gotta find them yourselves tho  }:)

Thanks Spooky.

I can't find any of this new stuff on the main website, could you provide a link? The official website doesn't seem to have much.

What exactly do you mean with new stuff? The new stuff gamerking is talking about is only accessible via the official website, in the flash application.

no, there are two more objects on the bottom of the screen that will show videos from the factions, like the uef gun on the bottom left hand side. the aeon is on the bottom right, underneath the fire, and the cybran one is in the middle at the bottom of the middle flag post.

I'm not going to pre-order and 99% sure I'm not going to buy the game even when it hits $20 bin. This is total crap, Square Enix NEVER MADE A SINGLE GOOD GAME YET! Front Mission was the best they had and the mish-mash story and horrid 'upgrade the mechs after each map' system was bad in the first game, never got fixed by the 4th game. Looking at their past, if Front mission games was the best Square could do, then why did GPG go to them. All they do is make spiky-haired gay heroes do the 'impossible' with a story that doesn't make sense. Just look at their line-up, there's feminine men on the cover of 90% of their games. This is horrible news and I don't think it's a good thing to simplify any bit of SupCom.

Think of it like this, they simplify it to get more sales. But the game isn't the same game anymore, same name is only thing that still carries over. This is a money grab on a series, they can't say it's anything else without lying through their teeth. SupCom was perfectly fine as it was, a deep strategic game that require micro/macro management skills with good combat tactics. I would've been happy if they just optimized the engine a little and maybe added a couple units with a new campaign, I would've bought it. But we get this crap with Square Enix, and I will repeat, I WILL NOT BUY SUPCOM 2 IF THEY PUBLISH IT WITH SQUARE ENIX!

I can't express my anger enough over this happening.

Stfu

Simples

They are making a better game but because Square Enix are involved you are not buying it? You would prefer a worse product? If you really liked the old FA that much then keep playing it

Personally I got fed up of it, I cant wait for the new one. So unless you have anything useful to say dont say nothing at all (And thats me just quoted Bambi at you, feel the shame man)

Back on topic. This game looks like its going to be very ACU based which should be awesome fun. I mean the Blackops ACU mod was a smash hit so imagine a game built like it 0_o

Thanks gamerking. I couldn't find those links the first time due to lag. My only criticism of supcom 2 so far is cybranzilla. The concept is fine, but the name is horribly cheesy. If it was called Draconis Heavy Assualt Bot or something I would be fine with it.

Also, the reason why Square Enix is teaming up with GPG is because it wants to make games for western audiences, I remember reading that they told Chris Taylor that they want to be influenced by GPG rather then the other way around. I don't see how that is something to worry about.

I think it was Stardock that signed the GBoR, not sure GPG did so.

As of recently, Supreme Commander 2 is listed in the Steam Store (if anyone missed it: Supreme Commander 2 will use Steam "all the way"). Along with the probably definite system requirements and some hint at Co-Op (though that may just some false information on Steam's part) you'll also find new screenshots there.

Furtheremore, there are new screenshots at worthplaying.com.

I'm a bit worried about Supcom 2 using steam, but hopefully it won't be too big of a deal.
