According to the link you posted,launching WindowBlinds should bring up that window.That method is outdated however.

No, launching Windows Blinds brings up Windows Blinds.

I have tried all of the above suggestions. they are wrong and do not work. I have installed Impulse anywhere - it is the same as the regular version.

I have not seen the above screenshot at any point, during any installation of WB6 - nor any screen similar to it. I merely shows the "About - Buy Now - Continue" screen - all of which require a connection.

If I click continue (which is the only choice that I have) it takes me into the regular configuration menu screen, which in turn also has no options with regards to registration.

Please help !

Alternate Activation

This does NOT work !!! Taken from that link:

"When the application starts, it will ask for your username and serial number. Type them in now.

The only serial numbers accepted are of the following forms:"

When the application starts it does NOT ask for a username or serial number - it asks for a log in name and a password - of which it requires an inernet connection to function !!

At no point whatsoever, through any install or link folllowed, does Impulse or WB6 ask for a serial number in any form.

If you cannot get that method to work then your only alternative is to email [email protected] and initiate a trouble ticket.

Yeah I have done this, but I dont expect a reply for a loonnnngg time, as with all web based firms.

Just to clarify:

I have Impulse Full installed.

I have Windows Blinds 6 installed.

They are both on an offline pc.

I have been emailed my serial numbers.

My online pc has used the above and is fine.

My offline pc has used the aboveand there is nowhere to enter the serial numbers in order to request an offline activation.

Can anyone think of anything that I have missed out here, as I refuse to believe there is not a simple work around for this.

Yes, Impulse requires an internet connection to log in to the service.  It will not get past this point on an offline machine.  You'll want to use Impulse Anywhere, available here:

This will download a file you can use to install on an offline machine.  Alternatively, you can download the WindowBlinds installer by requesting your account info at stardock.com/support.  This will send an e-mail to you with a download link for WindowBlinds (which is one of few applications that still supports this and is not solely downloadable through Impulse). 

The reason you are not able to use the offline activation is because you never get to the point that WindowBlinds is actually run, as you have not yet logged into Impulse to download and install.  Once you install by one of the other 2 methods listed above, offline activation should work fine.

Absolute rubbish! If you read my post above you will see that I have done this already, I have followed all the guides, looked at all  the forum posts, tried all all the solutions and no-one has even come close to providing an answer!

Impulse anywhere DOES NOT give you any different start up screen to the normal version. It asks for the same information: Account name & password - for which it needs an internet connection to function!!

In the above link, the second screen shot down shows a STARDOCK ACTIVATION PAGE. This is what I need to see.

Please someone answer this, as I have already spent too much of my time trying to get to the bottom of this and I refuse to believe it has outwitted the entire technical support staff at Stardock !!!

Um... Here's where I'm confused.  Impulse Anywhere will let you download standalone .exe files and associated data files to install your software.  It requires that Impulse be installed but will not ask for login information.  Perhaps you downloaded Impulse again from the link on that page?  Please see the correct locations below:

The first thing you will see when you run the installer is this:

Once it's installed, you will see this:

If you follow the instructions on that page you will notice that you need to have WindowBlinds installed before you will see this dialog.  This will only appear if using the standalone installer, or if some reason Impulse does not activate the product (which does not apply in this case of an offline machine).  Impulse Anywhere has it's own activation process, which is explained during install.

Of what I understand and trust me I've tried many things, there is NO way to install a Stardock Product (I am, myself, refering to Galactic Civilization 2), completely offline to a new computer.

You can try to use archive and then you wont be able to get impulse running because you have to register over the net.

You can try what's in that thread and download from impulse anywhere but even then, when you install the product to the new computer you will still have to revert to a computer with internet so you can have a VALID activation response.

I have to say I bought products from stardock in the past but I HATE how you have to register avery time you try to play what you honestly paid for.  There SHOULD be a way to download what you need once and for all and never have to go back to Stardock to play what you, again, PAID for...!

What will happen in ten years when there is no more support for the stardock products or if they go out of business?  I wanted to pay for those products because I felt they were worth it and I would not have to hack to play them but now I feel I have to revert to hacking to play the product how I'd like to play it....!

Anyone can help and provide a way to completely install the product in an COMPLETELY OFFLINE WAY?

Retail discs.  Of course they won't be up to date, but they do not require activation of any kind.

Anything downloaded through digital distribution needs at least some semblance of an internet connection to activate.  It is assumed since you bought the game online, and you managed to download it at least once from our servers, that you have access to an Internet connection.

I would like to think we'll be around longer than that, but it has been stated here before several times that a solution will be made available in the untimely event that Stardock is no longer in business.

Good luck. I have purchased at least 10 programs including window blinds. I have been asking for months and still cant register or anything.  Whats the deal with the gamestop app. What happened to impulse eversince this gamestop app I cant register or update anything.

I see accounts of yours but there are no registrations associated with them nor is there any purchase history associated with them. I was also unable to find any tickets for you in our support system under the email addresses on those accounts. Please send us an email at [email protected] with any purchase history information or perhaps serial numbers if you can provide them.

As for Gamestop, we cannot speak to what is going on with their download client but if you have Stardock games registered to your Stardock account, you can download from us here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Any third party products purchased via Impulse would need to be downloaded from Gamestop.
