DO YOU PREFER CHOOSEN VS RANDOM SETTINGS ???

Hello felllow Rulers of the Galaxies,

 

Do you prefer to choose specific settings and know what to expect or rather leave it all random?

Which do you think merits more skills and is it a smarter way to go about making a name for yourself in Metaverse?

 

I personally enjoy all settings random. I just love not knowing what to expect and not being able to get comfortable with one style of game enviroment.

If you want optimal scoring performance you'll have to heavily stack the deck in your favor which is far from trusting random luck. Smartly or skillfully.

As Zyx says, for scoring, non-random.  For pure fun random is cool. :)

I do not care about the score never had, yet I prefer to choose my settings. These games are usually long enough without having to endure things I do not like.

I'm sort of with Solam, except its not so much about avoiding things I don't like as ensuring I'll get what I do like, mainly a map that feels sufficiently 'galactic' to me--gigantic or immense, tight clusters, max majors, max minors, and moderately numberous habitables.

One thing I do avoid is the Drath, but that's because I both like super abilities in general and think Super Manipulator is just off somehow.
