Two Monitors

Well I've owned the game for a total of 11 hours now... and I've played one game. I've realized that during game play with my duel monitor set-up, my mouse can leave the screen on the side my other monitor is on... This, as you can tell, is quite annoying. I did search the forums and found a post with the same problem I am having, and he was told to download a program that would fix it in some sence. Is this the only fix? Any help appreciated...

Well typically any time you have a multi monitor setup your mouse travels freely between all screens. Thats expected behavior unless you use some third party program to lock the mouse cursor to a specific screen.

Some games manage to do that on their own.

Sure, typically if the devs have multi monitors of their own and spot the annoyance of the problem :)

umm this is the 1st fullscreen game i have _ever_ played that didnt lock the mouse onto the game screen. and i have been using dual screen systems since playing QuakeWorld TF around 1998 / 99

so no, i wouldnt consider it typical for the mouse not to be locked to a fullscreen app / game

I have had many games not lock the screen (for the mouse) on games.  However, most do.

Again, it would be nice :)

Most games lock the mouse. Its quite annoying that Demigod doesn't lock the mouse. Personally, I like to use screen edges to scroll (habit from the starcraft/warcraft days) and (if any devs read this) I'd prefer a usable minimap that lets you move the screen around the map by clicking the minimap.

At any rate, the solution for _your_ problem is to get capturelock or mousejail or something similar. They're small freeware programs that let you set up a custom shortcut to you program of choice that will lock the mouse to that program when it is maximized.

Google mousejail or mouse capture or mouse lock or something like that; there's a few available.

Using a 3rd party program is abritrary to just turning off my 2nd monitor, as I'd still have to run it to get said function (though I would concede that it'd leave my 2nd monitor up if I do use a 3rd party program to lock the mouse in one screen). I guess I'll just wait. v_v v_v v_v

I use cursor lock, and it allows you to set up a shortcut to play the game .. once setup you just use the shortcut like normal and don't have to do anything special. Very nifty.

As of May 3rd(realized this yesterday), my mouse is being locked to one screen with out the use of any third party program.

My mouse has always been moving to the other screen.  How were you getting the game to prevent the mouse from wandering?
