How about Summon Dev Journal on the Magic System?

GW swicord, you certainly have your priorities ^_^

I'm under the impression we don't have a dev journal yet because they have not come to a conclusion exactly how it is going to work.  Thinking of all the screenshots and stuff, we haven't seen any magic yet.  I'm sure we'll know by june though, and that isn't that far off.

k6   it's the closest thing to +infinity available...

I am guessing that the magic system is something that they feel like they can work out the details fairly late in the dev cycle (and they are probably right) So we may not even have a good idea on the magic system in the early betas. I mean there will be spells, I hope, considering the title, but they may just be placeholders at first with no intention that they will be in the final version....

I like the idea of the "invisable familiar".  That would be a fun spell.

I would also like to see landscape altering spells like -"wall of thorns" that would give an undersized army time to retreat.

One thing that would be nice would be to see units that are blinded/confused/paralyzed actually act that way, as opposed to just having stat penalties e.g. a blinded soldier would attack indescriminately, run in random directions, and occaisionally fall down until (s)he began to get accustomed to using other senses, a sleep spell would actually allow a unit to be roused by loud noises, and so on.
