Yahoo mail (non POP)

Doesn't play well with others

Since there are so many knowledgable "techies" on this site I thought it might be worth throwing out this question here.  I am trying to use Adni's emailx2 gadget to keep tabs on my email from different accounts.  However, YAHOO makes it so difficult to find any information, and doesn't seem to answer help emails.  GRRRR  So I'm wondering if anyone knows the server address to use for the web mail site, not the pop?

Any help appreciated!

"techies"

i'm not., but i've try to do the same as you but using Windows Live Mail (prety much the same problems i get is what you are getting)., as far as i know, you wont be able to make any direct connection to your Yahoo account., not even with YPOP!., for that you will need to buy something like a Premium email service that in fact sucks balls! i mean., why should any one on earth should buy a premium email account to just check your own mail using the Internet Browser., pure nonsense....

..or at least is what i got, NOTHING!

Seems to be what I am finding out Tycus.  Yahoo and MSN are so afraid one of them will make a buck off the other that it leaves users in inconveinent places.  I have three emails, one my ISP provided, one Yahoo, and one MSN which means I have to sign into three different places to check mail.

Thanks for your reply though!!

I have a Yahoo toolbar on IE7 that does allow me to check all 3 of my mailboxes. Only the yahoo box has a notifier. On the command bar I also have Windows Mail(Vista) I know it isn't exactly what you're after but I only have to launch IE7 to access all my mail. I just thought I'd toss that in.

I have an add-on for my Firefox toolbar that notifies me for one yahoo and two gmail accounts. I could never figure out how to get mail gadgets to work.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!  I think the gadget will only access pop accounts, and yahoo and hotmail are no longer allowing that without purchase.

So...will continue to sign in and sign in and sign in and ....you get the picture!!!

A suggestion, Trillian will check your Yahoo, MSN, Gmail and all the rest, as many accounts as you want and will pop up a notification when you have new mail. It's an awesome program for Windows users and if you have more than one IM account it's wonderful. http://www.ceruleanstudios.com Just something that you might want to check out. :)
