SUPPORT: Can't logon to Demigod

Problem: You load up Demigod, click Multiplayer, choose Internet, and type in your Impulse User Name and password and the game does not accept it.

Most common cause: You purchased the game via Impulse with a different email address (i.e. different account) than the one you're using.

Solution: Merge your accounts: https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/

Second most common cause: You created a second Impulse account some other way. Solution is same as above.

Got the same problem as well.  I froze on loading screen of pantheon after hearing "Player has left the game".  Ever since i cant log in anymore.

How long ago was that? Typically if the game crashes, you should be able to get back in within a few minutes.

started again....

Was in lobby game crashed out..restarted..and no longer able to get log in...the old standard invalid username/password.

Good job Stardock.  I buy a game as a gift because you send me an email with a coupon, but now my friend can't play it because your using email addresses as a differentiation between accounts.  Why would I buy another one of your games for myself?  You guys really just have no idea what your doing, do you?   Get your act straight.

You must use the explicit "Purchase as a gift" option at checkout (rather than "Purchase for myself") to have it linked to someone else's account rather than your own. If you bought it on your own account, contact [email protected] and they can transfer it.

I've merged accounts and it still gives me the same message "your username and or\ password is incorrect" the funny thing is that both the accounts username and pasword are the same so shouldnt have a problem. Plz can u help I realy wana play online?

I'm having the same issues. Crashed out and now I get the "You have entered and invalid username and/or password" message over and over. I can log into impulse, I can log into the forums and I reset my password three times, but I still can't log into the game. And no, I did not use two separate emails for the game and impulse registration.

having the same problem, after a reinstall i can't play . username and /or passowrd are invalid. I am absolutley positive all info i enter is correct. I even reset passowrd. please help. Offline play is a waste

Just got this myself!  Was playing fine last night.  Even changed my login password just to be sure but Demigod even isn't accepting the new password!  Anyone else getting this?

Hi!

I have this login problem too. It says invalid username or pass. I played with this game a few months ago in multiplayer, so the pass was okay. I changed my password to test with it, reinstalled the game, but nothing helps.

I can login to Impulse with my pass, so something is buggy in demigod.

Im experiencing the problem but can't see how this solution can help me at all. im only using one email for games related stuff. is it the community login i have to use or is it the stardock entertainment account login????

Impulse login works, demigod not.

Changing password doesnt help!

And dont come with shit like merge accounts or the *.reg shit in stardock support database it doesnt work at all!

I can't log into Demigod. It says my username and password are incorrect but I know they aren't.

 

It's been almost 20 hours now. I was playing a multiplayer game and it crashed to desktop with no error's popping up.

 

I've tried reinstalling impulse, demigod, using older .dll files from older versions, deleting the preferences file. Nothing works.

 

Any ideas?

Could be a server side issue.  You should send an email to [email protected] if you still can't login and they assign the ticket to someone.

I'm having the same issue as well.

A few days ago, I received Demigod as a gift from a friend on the Steam platform. I entered the serial # when prompted, created my online account, and played.

The following day, my account seemed to be not working. "You have entered and invalid username and/or password.", which I'm for sure that they are. I've tried logging on to stardock and updating my password, but that had no effect. I can log on to the forums and other website resources, but it still will not work for the in-game multiplayer.

I've also tried creating a new Stardock account and merging the accounts to see if i could get another account to work on the multiplayer, but that did not work either.

I looked through a few of the solutions that were suggested by Stardock because I see this has been a past problem:


1) Tried the registry fix. Yes I used Internet Explorer. No it didn't work.

2) Deleted the "Game.prefs" file. Still didn't work.

 

I currently have a ticket open at Stardock support, hoping that they will get back to me on this soon. Any other advice will be much appreciated.

You might have already tried this, but I'm just going to post a reply from another thread that has helped folks out with similar problems.  If this sorts out your issues, please reply here:

Kingster1 - First thing I'd recommend you do is send an email to [email protected] and explain exactly what you've done along with the problem. If its just some weird registration issue, they can sort you out on their end. 

I'm assuming you have the steam version of the game.  I'm just going to throw out some things that might work for you.  Some folks reported having issues logging in through steam directly (eg launching Demigod from steam).  For some, simply running steam as an administrator seems to help.  Try that if you have not already.  For others with the same problem, they were able to get things working by running Demigod OUTSIDE of steam as an administrator.  There's a file called Demigod.exe.  Its somewhere in the steam directory - I don't know the exact location off the top of my head, but you should be able to find it by doing a search for demigod.exe.  When you find the file, adjust the properties to run as administrator.  Then run the game and try to log in to multiplayer.  If either of those work, please reply here.

You can double check and confirm that you successfully registered Demigod to your stardock account by going here and seeing if it shows up registered to your name (use your stardock username and pw):  https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products

If it doesn't show up, then register the game to your SD account using this link:  https://services.stardock.net/accounts/registerproduct.aspx

Anyway, provide feedback and as many details as possible.  Hope this helps you and sorry its been a pain to get playing.  :(
